@SthrnMixer , I was just about to post some Type O up here and ya beat me to it lol! O Neg is my #1 most listened to band
R.I.P. Peter Steele
I am still pissed off that he died ā¦and it happened right after he finally got clean from the drugsā¦
His passing lead me hereā¦
My Type O days are behind me really, as well as Danzig and many other bands. For personal reasons - moral conflict and whatnot. I wonāt even listen to Alice In Chains - Man In a Box and if you know the lyrics youāll know my issue. I donāt preach at anyone, and lord knows Iām no saint. But still I do love some of that music I just try not to absorb it much anymore. Now stop laughing at me and mix some tasty juice!
Haha! Roger that! Vape mail is inbound today. I think I found the missing component for my āHoly Grailā mix and ordered it from BCV. It should be here in about 30minz. Iām so excited, I think I may pee myself!
Once I get the blend right, Itās going to be my first shared recipe here on ELR. I hope to have it ready for release before the holidays; I want it to be a xmas present or newyears present for the community I think a lot of people will be very pleased with it.
Vape on Brotherā¦
LMAO!! Stoner delight at 4:35
This is correct , vape mail just got in and I mixed up a new batch with the missing component, smells like a dead ringer, stay tuned for more infoā¦
@ringling, with you and your retro tunes plus @SthrnMixer talking about great cover songs; it made me think of thisā¦youāre welcome
Speaking of covers. Hereās my step-daughter doing an Adele cover. I think it cuts out before the song ends. Donāt say anything to her though, I think sheād plain kick my ass if she knew I shared it
Holy shit, that was really good! Vocals were damn good and ābelieve it or notā Iām actually very familiar with that track even though I mostly listen to metal. I like just about anything as long as itās good. The only critique I have is of the recording quality, it needs some reverb dampening. I know not everyone can afford to drop 5Gās on a studio for the day but even sheets or blankets hung on the wall would have given this a richer, fuller sound. The reverb is tarnishing quality vocals but other than that, this was awesome. Thanks for the share
Yeah, the girl can sing. I wish I had some type of recording equipment too because the night of my sonās funeral she sang for the family. I played guitar. One song in particular (and I was already in one helluva emotional state) was so fantastic but because of what was going on I never thought to try and get it recorded. She sang Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. Thatās been 8 years ago and the memory still haunts me.
ā¦another cover for yaā¦ I saw they had Floyd at #1 on your top 10 psychedelic bands video and it reminded me of thisā¦
I love these girls and they can lay down the thunder-chunky riffs as well as anyone, hereās Kittie covering Pink Floydsā Run Like Hell
Damn dudeā¦ thatās intense. Sounds like youāve had to wade through some serious shit over the years. Believe me, Iāve been to some pretty dark places too but we all have our demons I suppose. Without pain, weād never understand pleasure rightā¦canāt have one without the other, Iāll stop here before this turns into a 4-alarm 2-page philosophy rant. I enjoy studying philosophy, sociology, ethics and psychology; Iām aware that this is not how ānormalā people spend their leisure time but I like it.
Hey brother, you like what you like. Nothing wrong with that. Now that Iāve hit the half century mark I spend way less time worrying what others think of me and far more on what I think of myself. I love what you said too that without pain weād never understand pleasure. So true! Itās the yen and yang, a universal truth. But let me say one more thing then Iāll shut up and post a video - get this back on the right track. Yes, Iāve had some dark days indeed. One thing is Iāve never been alone. Even when no one was around, Iāve had comfort and peace. And no Darwinite or whatever else can convince me otherwise. Ok, now enough of that shit.
I was at a truck stop in Idaho the first time I heard New Age Girl. I had just ate some lunch and it was a Sunday. Apparently in this little podunk town the truck stop was considered a fine eating establishment. There were all sorts of families there. When this song came on I was in line at the register to pay. All the young kids heads were bobbing to the music, then when it got to the rrrrrrah part, they all made that sound in unison. Weirdest shit I ever saw
Hahahaha! Iām digging this thread man! Every time somethingās posted, it reminds of one of my favorite songs I may have not heard in awhile. In response to New Age Girl, I have thisā¦
Which also reminded me of thisā¦
āI like you Stuartā¦Youāre not like the other peopleā¦hereā¦in the trailer parkā¦ā
āWhy the hell dāya think they call it a burrow-owl anyway!ā omfg! Iām dyingā¦ that shit is so funny
I am not a fan of female vocalists. I donāt really know why. I guess because I like to sing along and I just canāt stand it when I catch myself singing āIām a Barbie Girlā¦ La La La LA LA Laā. Anyway, certain female vocalists have really caught my attention. Sia is one of them. That girl is a true artist in all sense of the word. Probably the most amazing voice of all time in my opinion. Damnit, now I gotta go listen to someā¦ DOPE!
Now weāre speaking my languageā¦
Itās early morning here so lets start off with a little coffee jingleā¦
Follow that up with some relaxing Norwegian metalā¦
And top this all off with a smooth Pelican instrumentalā¦
Now doncha feel better, wide awake and ready to tackle another dayā¦? I know I am
Kate Upton is awesome!!!
I didnāt realize we had so many metal heads here ā¦ that makes me happy ā¦
Here is a video from October of 2012 (I think) I was playing with my band at Hemmingways in Irmo, SC. This was our first 3 songs of the set ā¦ Motley Crue / Zepplin covers. Yes, we had a female vocalist that absolutely ROCKED!!!
