What's In Your Commercial Cigarette?

In my research to locate organically grown tobacco leaves for producing my own NET liquid, I found this article, which is very eye opening…

Sincerely,

Bill Drake
Founder of the Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company

These are the producers of the American Spirit tobacco I’ve smoked for years and will be using for my NET! I didn’t mind spending more money on my tobacco since I was getting a better product but unfortunately a lot of people let price determine their choice.

So I roamed around on the web for a bit and found this;
Natural American Spirit (often referred to as American Spirits) is an American brand of cigarette and fine tobacco products, manufactured in the United States by the Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company. The company was founded in 1982 by Bill Drake, author of “The Cultivators Handbook of Natural Tobacco”, Robert Marion and Eb Wicks, a plumbing contractor who took out a loan to finance the startup.[1] In November 2001 the company was acquired by Reynolds American and is now a wholly owned independent subsidiary of Reynolds American, which is in turn 42% owned by British American Tobacco.[2] Despite being acquired by a major tobacco corporation, the company maintains that “we’re the same company we’ve always been with the same values and commitment we’ve always had to producing the highest quality tobacco products”

I’m not sure what to think of this now???

Yikes! You think Mr. Drake was offered enough money to “take a powder” and go live on an island somewhere? Wouldn’t put it past big tobacco…hmmmm?

I don’t know, call me suspicious, it is basically what Ben&Jerry said when they were bought up by Unilever, they would continue to produce quality. I don’t know what the deal is. I just found an interesting article about it.
