Why Do DIY juices taste inferior to disposable vapes?

Hello. I am not new to vaping or mixing for that matter, but I have a noob question. I have switched from pre-mixed commercial juices to DIY then went to the disposables over the last few years. I have never had a commercial or DIY juice that has the amount of flavor that Disposable vapes do. I am always disappointed. I have tried many, many different juices, flavorings and devices and nothing ever compares. Does anyone know what either I’m doing wrong, or maybe I haven’t tried the right mod yet. Which mod has the best flavor production and which juice? The best flavor I have been able to get is from a Smoant pasito and Glas basix banana cream pie juice. Oh, and I use Nic salts. Thanks

Hi Tejallen, my experience would be the same: I use various devices, from simple pods to DL powerful ones. Using commercial as well as my DIY juices. My foundings are:

  • the big majority of any DIY recipe cannot compare to much better taste of the famous commercial juices; I have had success with a very few recipes I am using now on a daily basis but I always keep the 2-3 commercials of my preference
  • secondly, disposables: the same here - stronger flavor, especially the “frozen” taste they produce is smth you can’t beat with DIY: it seems they use rather high levels of flavors and using “industrial” flavors/concentrates that we don’t have access to.
It’s been a puzzle for years now but what can one do: I use 90% of my DIY and from time to time still go buy a favourite disposable…

The majority of the best things in our lives are - not healthy and hazardous.

Taste is subjective.
