What’s up vapers!
SirRisc here with another gear review!
The Livepor60 was sourced directly from Yostatech!
Premise.
A while back I had the pleasure of reviewing the Yostatech Livepor80, a single 18650 device that was surprisingly well built.
The fact that it came in a kit and thus included a matching tank was great, especially because their ceramic coilheads were so good.
Since then, Yostatech has released an even smaller mod in the Livepor series that is easily described as “cute as a button”, the Livepor60.
Let’s have a look!
Specifications.
- Very small at 32mm X 22mm X 65mm
- 1W to 60W power output
- Resistance range: 0.06ohm to 3.0ohm
- Temperature control for Ni, Ti, and SS
- IGVI T2 tank included
- 2.5ml capacity
- USB charging
- 1500mAh battery built in
- Rebuildable ceramic coilhead
Packaging.
The Livepor60, much like its slightly heavier brother, comes in a white box with the mod depicted at the front.
The mod is shown in black and chrome which doesn’t represent the color of the mod inside.
On the back of the box is a short introduction about the brand and the mod, as well as a list of parts inside.
At the bottom of the back you’ll see the indication of the color.
Considering this is a kit, the mod comes with a couple of accessories and a matching tank called the IVGI T2.
There is also a replacement glass section, a pink vapeband, a pyrex glass driptip, a bag of spare o-rings, a usermanual, a 0.25ohm notch-coil and a USB charging cable.
The usermanual is small and only sparsely illustrated but it is easy to read and contains all the needed information.
Performance.
Besides the eLeaf iCare I reviewed a while back, this has to be one of the smallest mods I’ve ever used. The mod itself isn’t much bigger than the iCare in fact.
It’s so small that it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand without showing, making it an ideal stealth setup.
With a tank on top, more specifically the IVGI T2 tank included in the kit, it does poke out of my hand just a bit.
Of course the small size does have some downsides too, like the batterysize or the fact that it’s easy to lose (luckily mine is in Tiffany Blue so it’s easy to spot).
The Livepor60 has a 1500mAh battery built in which can be charged via the included USB cable, and it does charge pretty quickly.
From an empty battery to a full battery will take you no more than 2 hours, and it does have passthrough capability.
The USB port is located just beneath the plus and minus buttons and the screen.
Just above the screen is the firebutton which has very comfortable tactile feedback, a nice click if you will.
The display is fairly bright and very easy to read, but like the Livepor80 it’s also covered with a mirror finish.
That mirror finish makes the display extremely hard to read in direct lighting, especially bright light like sunlight or halogen makes the screen difficult to read.
Around the screen, spanning from the 510 connection on top to the bottom, is a chrome finish which looks quite nice but also attracts fingerprints like crazy.
If you have a bit of greasy/sweaty skin or some juice on your fingers, it will stain like there’s no tomorrow.
What looks like a batterycover but isn’t, is the painted part of the mod. Again in a glossy paint which doesn’t exactly provide much grip.
The color is pretty good and the finish does seem sturdy enough to withstand some abuse, after carrying the mod for a couple of weeks in a pocket with my keys there was no chipping or scratching of note.
The Livepor60 has a lot of functionality despite its small size.
It has a maximum power output of 60W, which it does get to for about 60% of the battery charge.
When the battery gets low, the power is significantly dropped and the mod struggles to heat up the coils if they need 60W.
It also does temperature control for Ni, Ti, and SS. Of course the temperature is fully adjustable in increments of 5°C or 10°F.
Both the website and the usermanual imply there is a TCoR functionality present on the mod, but this does not seem to be the case.
Going into the modes, there is also an additional mode called “mech mode” in which the mod simply dumps the batteries voltage to the atomizer.
The dropoff in power is significant here, as soon as the battery gets to half the power is usualy not enough to heat up the coils enough for a decent vape.
The menus are easy to access and easy to navigate.
With three clicks of the firebutton the mod will go into the menu where you can choose your mode, and also lock the atomizer for use in temperature control.
On to the tank, the IGVI T2.
An absolutely tiny 22mm tank with a capacity of 2.5ml, adjustable airflow and completely colormatched to the mod.
The tank includes a conical driptip as standard but there is a pyrex driptip included in the box too. Personally I found the pyrex driptip to mute the flavor less than the conical one.
One of the main features of the tank is the ceramic coilheads, which are quite honestly the first ones I’ve been able to vape for longer than a week without getting a scratchy throat.
The ceramic coils will give you a well defined flavor from your liquids, but the other coil (a 0.25ohm notch coil) included in the package does a little better in terms of flavor.
However the ceramic coil does have one very big advantage, and that’s the lifespan. Where the notch coil started tasting “off” after a week, the ceramic coil kept on trucking for a cool 3 weeks without change.
Even when it was tasting a bit “off”, a simple dryburn was enough to provide it with another week of life without issues.
Aesthetics.
As I said above, the Livepor60 is tiny. It’s barely bigger than the iCare but it does a lot more and sport a bigger battery.
The mod doesn’t look all that bad, though the mirror finish on the display, the chrome and the glossy paint make it somewhat prone to fingerprints.
It’s a great stealth mod and is extremely easy to conceal due to its size.
While the batterylife may not be spectacular, the size does make up for a lot of it.
The tank being colormatched to the mod is a nice bonus, although I have to admit Tiffany Blue really isn’t my color.
Pros and Cons.
Pro.
- Tiny, small, petite
- Charges quickly and has passthrough
- Temperature control for Ni, Ti, SS
- Ceramic coils last very long
- 60W of power in the palm of your hand
Con.
- Mirror finish on the display
- Chrome and glossy paint is prone to fingerprints
- Power dropoff is significant passed 50% battery
- 510 connection is not springloaded but rather “elastic” loaded
In conclusion.
The Livepor60 is an ideal companion if you’re looking for a small mod that is easy to conceal and doesn’t weigh anything.
It’s easy to put in your pocket, and fits in the palm of your hand. The vapor production from the IVGI T2 tank is satisfying enough for a direct lung inhale and it has pretty good definition in flavor.
The ceramic coils seem to last forever and can be easily cleaned with a mild dryburn, though I will add that you should never put them in water because it will ruin the coil in seconds.
If the Livepor60 came in a matte finish and left out the mirror finish on the display it would be even better. Given that it’s such a small mod though, I have to admit it’s impressive what it can do.
Would I replace this if it broke? Probably, because it’s just handy to have around and it’s actually quite cheap for a full kit.
In closing I would like to thank Yostatech for sending out the Livepor60!
