Thank you @daath. I can’t remember the differences between the 2080, 2080ti, and my 2080ti FE, but the RUMOR is, that the best silicone gets put aside for the FE’s, and I thought I heard they OC’d them, but I can’t confirm that.

Speed is great (thanks for noticing), but the trade off, is quite a bit of heat. Lots of air moving through the case, can only do soo much, and God only knows how much it’s shortening it’s lifespan LOL !!!

I am getting INCREASING pressure from my old clan mates, but I said I was going to pull as long as I could here. Do I wish I had MAYBE thought of using a closed (or open) loop cooler on the TI ?? Perhaps, but I’m working FAR too many hours to get into that.

Lars, if ALL of a sudden, I stop contributing, that means it caught fire LOL !! I think about the ONLY work unit that I’ve completed, that was NON COVID-19, was probably the FIRST one. I check from time to time, and EVERY single work unit has been big and heavy COVID WU’s, and that’s great. Helping out and all, but they ARE a force to be reckoned with. I’m currently @ 127.9k points per WU, so that’s a reflection of what they’re pushing my way.

I check the conquest/threat board, and it always makes me smile that Team ELR is literally running over teams in front of us !!!

Very proud of the team you’ve got folding here Lars. All we need to do is add a couple more.

@daath, @28If, @mstokens, are you guys having problems getting work units ?? I checked my log, and am now seeing a lot of down time, as work units are/were not being sent. I know that their servers have been totally wrecked by the influx of new folders, but I thought they had that fixed. Maybe not ??

Sometimes there’s a gap where I don’t get any work units from anywhere, then it resumes after a while … I think they are trying to churn out work units and are having problems keeping up

Roger that. I’m not going to paste the BIG logs, but I was actually very surprised to see how much downtime I was experiencing, and didn’t even know it.

HFM.NET is proving to be much more useful than that iPad app I tried. Keeping FAH honest LOL.

I also LOVE IT, when I check our threat board, and our only “reds” are months/years behind.

+16 ranks per day STILL.
+107 ranks last week.

I think you sucked up all the COVID units @daath. I’m getting idled more and more now. I know they’re working on it, and it IS all about the science, but we were on a real ROLL there.

hardly! I think your rig is just too fast

I just let it sit for a bit - if I notice that it isn’t working I try to switch from “While I work” and “Idle” and back again, then sometimes they’ll have pushed new units But usually I don’t notice and it picks itself up after a while …

Hehe, well you only had a month’s headstart on me @daath.

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me when I look at our threat board, and see NOW, that our threats, are listed in YEARS now (yes, that can change). Love to see ELR continuing to push forward, maybe get us some attention at the same time as our helping out. Win/Win.

You can TELL when they start screwing up the assign servers, when we start to dip below 6.5M per day.

the deeper I dive into HFM.NET the more impressed I get. Sooo many tracking options, emails, and autosave to HTML format locally.

It’s not like we don’t have time, while WAITING for the next project to arrive !!!
