We had a gaming clan as well - I think a lot of us were running the SET@home client I later switched to Folding@Home - then I forgot about it until about a month ago
And yes, it’s easy - You can just set it to “Only at idle” - then when you go grab a cup of coffee, or go sit in the sun for a few minutes - it’ll work on it
BTW if you install it now, be sure to have it set to “Any disease”, and don’t be discouraged if you get a “work unit” for Parkinson’s, Cancer or even Oxytocin-receptors for example - that just means there are no current SARS-CoV-2 work units right now. As soon as they release them, they are given top priority and your computer will work on them
Also, some people might want to set it to “While I am working”, but I set mine to “When idle” - my office simply gets too hot when starts crunching numbers
