I need a little guidance please on sft'ing

Unless something strange is going on, your scale does that consistently every time. I recently bought a slightly-better-than-the-10-bucks-thingies-from-china scale and when researching models I noticed in specialised webshops that they actually tell you how & how much:

43 1

24

Needless to say you can get a scale that starts right from zero but you’ll have to start your bank account from zero too if you buy one of those. A simple solution is the one you mentioned already: get it over the 0.0# by having something small around to put on the balance right after you tared the plateau with the mixing beaker on it.

I’ve seen a lot of scales BTW while researching for something in around 50 bucks. I’d say people in the US can save a lot of time and just pick the American Weigh Scales LB-501 Digital Kitchen Scale. I’d own one if shipping hadn’t been so damn expensive. $20 plus $35 shipping doesn’t work for my brain, even if $55 is still very decent for the machine you get.

EU: I bought a Jennings jt2 350 from https://www.breinler.com/alle-weegschalen/precisie-weegschalen/precisiebalans-350g-x-0-01g.html

(I’m linking the Dutch webshop as their price is substantially lower than any other price I could find anywhere, about 40 bucks).

It’s getting 5 star reviews on Amazon and some 1 stars too where the thing failed after only so many service hours/. I personally love it and would give it 5 stars ATM. The piece de resistance for me was that it is covered by 20 years of warranty by the Canadian Jennings family business manufacturer, should it decide to die on me. Canada sounds like reasonable helpdesks to me.

Both have adapters. Get yourself a scale with an adapter, peeps. I can go on a long holiday and come back and continue mixing my 2 aroma recipe without any worries it forgets what I was doing in the mean time. I always said I didn’t care that my scales shut down after a minute, but the relief I felt must have come from somewhere.

BTW I got confused and read that title as “I need help Shutting The F**k Up” heheh. I’m such a child really. Also, I never did proper SFTing myself. Too damn lazy, a treat that came with the immaturity.

Heyo! I have a question about SFTing. What happens when you have 3 separate SFTs each in a 10ml bottle. You decide you like all of them and they would be compatible. If I combine the 3 to total 30mls would that be the same as combining the 3 flavors in a recipe mix? I can’t figure out the math. I realize that recipe percentages are smaller than SFT percentages but each one already has their proper base in them. Am I thinking right ?

If I did a n sft of 3% cake batter capella, 1.5% of caramel flavour art and 3% of nonna’s cake flavour art, and I mixed them, it will become a recipe like this:

1% cake batter
0.5% caramel fa
1% nonna’ s cake fa

Without calculating how much you already used/vaped.

If there are any of the sft that was a bit too light, it will probably be gone/disappeared in the recipe.

CMIIW please.

I can’t correct you because Idk myself but your thinking sounds like it makes sense. If it worked I guess it would depend on if any of the SFT percentages were too light, like you said, Thx Delltrapp.

You can guess that I’m trying to fast track a recipe without wasting my SFTs. In the past my shortcuts have always backfired on me so I needed to ask someone with more experience.

You can still add your SFTs together to make your 30ml, but you’ll just have to add a little flavor to keep the same strength.
It’s easiest if you throw a recipe together in the calculator to find out how much weight of each flavor you have to add. About 20ml recipe would do since you already have flavor for your 10ml tester and missing it for the additional 20ml to make it 30.
Since you’ve already vaped a bit from them (and hopefully as much from each flavor test), it won’t be 100% accurate but it’ll give you a good idea of how the flavors work together.
