While I like bacon, I cook bacon mainly for 1 reason… GREASE! There has been many a time when I am making a sheet pan or two of bacon and I don’t really plan on eating the bacon… but I really need that grease for other cooking I may be planning on doing.

If I’m cooking for a crowd I do it on half sheet pans in the oven then when it’s almost done I pull it get two or three 12 to 14 inch skillets

When cooking bacon for a crowd you need to BAKE it
Line 2 rimed cookie sheets with foil, heat oven to 400* and bake about 18 minutes.

I like to finish it in the skillet for what it brings to the rest of the meal being cooked in the skillet. Been doing this a day or two, lets see my first job cooking was in 1973
