It may not matter to some folks, but I found that my Wasp RDAs that have the Transparent Smooth tops don’t really whistle like the frosted caps do, my clear top doesn’t really whistle. I stopped using the frosted ones after I found this out.

I can’t stand it to be honest. I can usually make micro-adjustments to the airflow to stop it. If I can’t I shelve it. ED can be made to be whistle-free, fortunately.

I didn’t jump on this particular bus but the Elder Dragon did catch my attention elsewhere on ELR and once I’d experienced one, I immediately had to have another one

I haven’t gotten mine to whistle yet either, but I do get a little spit back every 15-20 hits, usually right after dripping, think the coil might be sitting a touch too high

I read a review of the Elder Dragon that complained about a whistle. I almost didn’t get mine because of that! But I got mine for $9.99 and it was actually just $9.99 against a prize amount I won so I figured it might or might not work out depending on the pitch, frequency, etc. of the whistle. It worked out, mine has no whistle that I can detect and the wife hasn’t said anything beyond the normal whining. I thought about complaining to the reviewer

Mine starts to spit if I over squonk a bit. I thought maybe the coils a tad too high also. I’ll lower it a bit and see.

It could just be over dripping, I swapped to the regular pin so I can run a dozen different flavors through it lol probably try 3-4 coils and at least 3 flavors per coil over the next few days

As for the Recurve I couldn’t vape it due to it making me constantly cough but I bought a accessory top cap for it that made the draw more restricted and my coughing instantly stopped and even better the flavour popped considerably,it basically became like a totally different RDA.

I second the Reload S, it’s a fantastic little RDA, probably one of my favorite Single Coil RDA’s that I own.

• Just slapped a 30x3/38 Tri Core (SS) in Mr. Ed and loving it. Really nice flavor. They even threw in some Hex Core & Vertebraid (smaller guage) that I can’t wait to try. Such a great buy!

I’ve been a single strand basic coil user for a lonnnnnnnggg time, years now. But for giggles I slapped in the .17 Ohm Clapton jobber they sent with Mr. Ed, and it’s quite a nice coil! There goes my juice conservation and infrequent cell swaps! I may even have to go dig out my Daedalus jig again.

I spaced the coil. It’s really pretty good.
