Adding premixed concentrate to create vape ready juice to ELR

I agree. EC Blends was where my journey into the vaping world began, it was the place I went to for my first ever vape and buying my first mod back when Covid shut down 2 years ago my clove cig supply ban from Indonesia. I loved that place because I could customize my juice and create recipes using their flavors. The staff there would give me advice. It is sad to see them resorting to selling commercial juices now, but at least, you can still customize your own flavor concentrates, which is what DIYā€™ing is all about. Now Iā€™ve been vaping for 2 1/2 years with their juices and a year ago, is when I started buying individual flavors and I just started mixing 6 months ago. Very slow baby steps for me, LOL :rofl: :rofl:. I still have 1 pack of clove cigs left, but it is unopened, a reminder of my journey.
Iā€™m glad to meet someone on here that knows EC Blends!

I was absolutely hooked on their Dragon Brew for many years (the Dragon line is now called Creme Collection.) About three years ago, when I first started to diy, they changed the recipe, so thatā€™s when I endeavored to make my own. I was never even getting close until they released the Flavor Artists concentrates, but even Creme Collection Espresso needs a lot of help to get close to what Dragon Brew was. The secret ingredient was their dulce de leche. Kinda hoping more mixers will try some of their line. I know they canā€™t survive on my meager orders alone. It wonā€™t be an easy task, however, with the flavor police jacking up my entries.

Last year, the mailman brought me my Flavor Artists order and handed me his ziggy for adult signature.
Me: Umm, what? These are just food grade flavor concentrates.
Mailman: {shrugs}
Me: I didnā€™t pay an adult signature charge.
Mailman: {shrugs}
Me: {shrugs}
Then I looked at the label and noticed that it had shipped from EC Blend, which still does premix (or nic shots or something) So Iā€™m guessing that EC Blend & Flavor Artists are in the same building :rofl:

Now that Iā€™ve had a chance to go back and revisit EC Blend, I can see where some head-scratching could begin, with shortfills, fullfills and such. Too much reinventing the wheel for my decrepit brain. At least the concentrates are good :grin:

Looks to me that they may be a division of FA. Instead of flavors it offering short fills, or any other offerings that donā€™t have nicotine in them.

I love your ā€œshrugsā€, rofl. I can totally envision that conversation, and it made me laugh out loud.
I remember chatting via messenger with my local EC Blendā€™s lead mixologist about a year ago. He assured me that the Flavor Artist concentrates was what they used in their juices, so I was literally shocked to hear from you that there was an added ingredient of dulce de leche to their Dragonā€™s Brew. I had their Blueberry Pomegranate e-liquid once and then I bought their concentrate, and I canā€™t tell the difference. I have bought many of their concentrates since, to mix with my own nic and vg/pg bases. I am extremely disappointed to hear that their Flavor Artist concentrates may not be like the real thing.
I have all the Horchata flavor concentrates and many, many cream concentrates, so I hope someday I am able to duplicate this flavor for the hubby. Now I can finger taste their Horchata concentrate to compare it with my other Horchata concentrates.
Have you ever been able to figure out what brand their creme is?
Iā€™ve been in their store many times, and Iā€™ve never seen Flavor Artist liquids as a stand alone.
P.S. Yes, the short fills and fullfills were a bit confusing to me, as well. I know their short fills are like the concentrates. Iā€™m guessing the fullfills are the concentrates plus the pg/vg mix but no nicotine. They state (for fullfill) that there is no room for additives to be added, so Iā€™m wondering how the heck do you add nicotine then?

@rcleven Here is the link to the store if you are interested in looking around. They were my 1st vape anything and everything experience and were instrumental in getting me off the Djarum Clove cigs. I owe them my life.

Dragon Brew was a unique mix, it was about 8 years ago when I first ordered it. All I know is that the recipe changed shortly before they switched over to the Creme Collection line around the time that Flavor Artists was born.

Oh, donā€™t worry, itā€™s the real thing :grin: I think their espressos (espresso/creme espresso/creme espresso w/ vanilla) are the best out there. I love their dulce de leche more than Rocky loves milk & honey. Iā€™ll take their Coffee Liqueur over VTA anyday. Also love their coffee liqueur/Irish cream blend. Thereā€™s more, but I only have maybe a third of their lineup.

I donā€™t know that they have any outside sources. I would like to see them develop some more base flavors such as sweet cream though.

Flavor Artists has its own web site (flavorartists.com) although it looks like they also peddle those flavors on the EC Blend site as well.

FYI: Andrew added the Flavor Artists line over at ATF and gave it the abbreviation FAR

ā€œOh, donā€™t worry, itā€™s the real thingā€. I worded that wrong, I meant it is disappointing that their Flavor Artist concentrate doesnā€™t taste exactly like the finished e-liquids.
Did you ever figure out which brand their dulce de leche is? FA? TPA? Cap?
I was able to break down their Tropical Twist e-juice, which is delicious, especially with a shot of rum. You and Rocky can have your precious coffee drinks (he literally sleeps, snorts, bathes and poops that stuff :rofl:), Iā€™ll stick to my beloved fruity, tropical drinks, lol.
I have to go, but I look forward to your reply later.

DDL is their own. I think it has a much better chocolate emulation.

Whaaat??? I thought vape companies just used common brand name flavors and mixed up recipes using that for sale. How did you get all this information? Wow, now I have to go get some of their DDL to try.
Thank you for your informative chats!

From my taste buds? Idk, I have a few DDLs and this one stands out for me

Amazing! I had no idea Flavor Artists was their own brand and made their own flavors. Thank you for your insights. Iā€™m off to zzzz, finallyā€¦Have a great night!

Oh yay, I do have everything except FAR Orange Pineapple. That recipe looks good! Thank you.

Iā€™ve made it with other flavors before, I just like this orange pineapple blend better. OTOH, never shy away from being a mad scientist :scientist:

Hahaha, I majored in Bio and Chem in college, so this reminds me of a skit I put on once where I played a mad scientist with a chem lab set up around me. Can you give me your best guess which Orange and Pineapple will go well with your recipe as a sub?

Pick your favorite pineapple and add maybe sweet tangerine or a blood orange. This is one youā€™ll probably have to play around with. If you vape MTL, you may want to up everything a tad.

I need more info than that. I am not a mixer, I have many flavors, but wouldnā€™t know which Pineapple would go with which Orange.

If I was making this for a MTL friend and I didnā€™t want him/her to hate me :sunglasses:
2.5 VT Creaming Soda
2.0 (?) Orange
3.0 (?) Pineapple
1.5 (?) Mango
2.0 CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream
0.5 Super Sweet
(Iā€™m not a SS fan, so for me: 1.0 Sweetness/Sweet Mate)

DIY is all about experimenting. Make 2-3 small batches, all with different fruit brands. In the end, you can only rely on your own taste buds :+1:

Iā€™ve got Pineapple Mango FAR already, so which Orange and which Pineapple would YOU recommend?

Iā€™ve got both those, so I will use Sweet Mate like your recipe states.
