This is correct, the recipes wouldnt disappear. As far as i am aware only one person can delete flavors and recipes and i cant imagine it would be done on purpose.
If they were made private the user and i would be able to see them.
Usually one has much more recipes than the other (so the one with more recipes shown should be correct). Mods had fixed most of JF already, just these abbreviations are still annoying. I think @Ken_O_Where can do that.
If you had recipes on ELR, then maybe you have another account? Because I don’t see any recipes on your user - and more importantly, no record of recipes being deleted on your user. To me it looks like you never created a recipe with the user you are now logged in with …
I also checked for other users with “metal tree” in their name, but it looks like you’re the only one
Are you certain that you used the website for your recipes?
It doesn’t look like you posted any links to any of your recipes - maybe we could have found them that way
I think the Jungle Flavors naming convention issue brings up an interesting point. For many of us, we started out using them, when they were still called Jungle Flavors, and most were labeled “JF”. They have since rebranded to Flavor Jungle, which further worked to confuse this. This brings up the point, or question, about what should be done when flavor MFG’s change THEIR names ?
Leave it as the original Jungle Flavors, or re-name to their present name of Flavor Jungle ?
The ones I get here are rebottled by a third party and branded as Jungle Flavors. I only have 1 in my stash at present, which is Bavarian Cream and the top search for it is Bavarian Cream (Jungle Flavors) so that is what I used. However, I used to also have Cocoa and the top search for that is Cocoa (JF)…
Unless it’s a radical name change I think the names should remain as they are.
I just went through their flavors (not the one-shots) based on their website listing and made adjustments to what I could find in the DB. “Jungle Flavors” was the dominant naming convention so that’s what I went with.
