I’d like to get a bit more info on the devices and the circumstances. Without this info it’s impossible to say if it was a bad device or a user error. This way it just makes vaping sound dangerous and bad.

I remember back in the day when I was smoking the news media was trying to ban disposable lighters because they were exploding.:grinning:
The news media has one goal , to drum up enough drama to get people to interact with their program.
It is sad that people will continue to do stupid things but in all honesty stupid should hurt.

I saw this one on the news yesterday…I honesty think that the majority of these accidents are due to user error…

So he was vaping on a mod but had another mod in his pocket… Sure…

Looks like a spare battery went pop, lets just say it was an e-cigarette because, you know, its sooo dangerous…

All the comments after that video are talking about the mod blowing up. It seems that none of them noticed that he has the mod in his fucking hand at the time. So it was basically another retard with loose batteries in his pocket. This is evolution at work, mother nature is trying to kill off all the morons before they dilute the gene pool any more.

That would be my guess as well.

I’m gonna start calling my local new stations every time I see a story like this and tell them, they could be preventing a lot of these accidents if they’d report on the real cause, pointing out that these batteries need to be transported safely and the devices need to be locked or turned off before putting them in a pocket or purse.

I’ve already email the newspaper that ran that story here and pointed exactly that out to them (among other things).
