It’s a matter of elimination. It involves a lot more thinking than the wordle. Or maybe not, but numbers seem to be more confusing.
Getting the = in the right spot at least gives you the amount of numbers behind it.
I try to get as many different numbers in the first equation as possible.
Everything in black is out. Purple is in the wrong place.
I use a piece of paper to work out several calculations that might work.
