@Sprkslfly, It’s ok, honest.
I’d rather be called an F’n Idiot any day (even slapped upside the back of my head if need be) than to do something that does harm.
I forget sometimes that I’m a country boy. I can keep lil critters like rabbits, squirrels, birds etc. from it.
(I have an affinity for using it on anthills). sinks in deep and fast. Adding a lil ammonia (not lots) works wonders for lil critters. (taking a healthy pee on it also) or just put’n in a clear glass mason jars and leave it in the sun for a week. I imagine the UV takes care of it. I wouldn’t ever pour it out on hard pack dirt. Still, I haven’t had to get rid of a large amount of it so I’d have to be creative for something like that.
I don’t live in the city. Our township has a water processing plant and a county dump. The dump wont take anything that says “glycol” (everyone thinks it’s antifreeze).
It should be ok for septic tanks? I can’t speak\type to that. I’m lucky. I live near an old outhouse. I can pour it in there then just toss some lime on it when done. Ethylene glycol on the other hand is a real nasty thing to get rid of.
I know VG and the flavors draw in the lil critters. All I have to do is keep them away long enough for the nic to break down. (Only way to get rid of ethylene glycol I know of is to let it evaporate over time. A long, long time).
I can still be wrong about the PG\nic\glycol disposal. If I put bleach in it then pour it on the ground, it sours the soil. I don’t spell all the details out when I type\text. Sorry about that.
I love the lil critters too. I wouldn’t do something I think would harm them. If y’all still think I’m messing it up somehow, tell me where I’m wrong so I can adjust.
“food for thought” to me is better than taking a guess. And you’re not hurting my feelings at all by pointing out where I might be wrong. I guess I could bleach the hell out of it then pour it down the sink? That’s a lot of bleach but diluted enough in water I guess is ok?
I’d rather be responsible and do it right rather than f**k it up. Telling me about the wildlife was a good thing, not bad so she can do it politely or be blunt.
@Josephine_van_Rijn, You have a fantastic point about the critters runnin’ around. This time of year it’s cold so they’ll be looking for something sweet.
Anyway, the more you point out what I’m doing wrong the more I learn. Honest, thank you for making sure. And this time of year it would be the outhouse and lime.
