Welcome @Blueboy @SteveD259 and @YardByrd!!
Hmmm. I think I forgot to introduce myself. Ummm. How does this goā¦hey everybody, Iām an ex smoker, itās been a long time since my last purchase of a pack of cigs. Iāve never kept track of my last pack since there is a blur of timeā¦kind jumped with both feet and bodyā¦literally. I went from an ego to my first mod and DIY all in the same month. Learned so much so fast it was amazeāballs.
Outside of vaping I work way too much. I travel more than the average cat due to work, but not enough for fun, but surely at one point Iāve passed through your airport or know somebody of somebody.
My next goals are to figure out how much my average monthly spending has been since I started diy back in octoberish and when I quit smoking. I really need to set a budget and not spend when I think I have saved ā?x?ā Dollars by not smoking. Then from there grow a pair and learn how to build my own coils (apparently a lot of folks learned this befor DIY their own juice but I do everything ass backwardsā¦whatās a standalone flavor againā¦j/k but I donāt like them much since I donāt find them complex enough).
Beyond that, I love the forum and love trying to help other newer people by adding my random thoughts in hopes of giving the same encouragement I recieved when first mixing my own juices. I believe having a thought repeated by different wording occasionally helps the process click in someoneās head.
Happy DIY everybody.
Welcome folks! Congrats to everyone on quiting the darts! That really is impressive and encouraging! Read lots and learn lots, these people here are the best resource youāll ever have. Stay strong folks.
Hiya!! Hopefully you already know youāre welcome, but welcome again anyway!
Iām Bruce from Snow Camp NC. Iāve been vaping for about a year, dripping for about 8 months and experimenting with making juice as long as Iāve been vaping. Iām a perfectionist so itās a long process in making the right juice with all the right steps. Iād like to know who you guys n gals think the best vendors are for quality Flavors and VG are. Iām not looking for cheapā¦quality is what Iām after. Iām always looking to learn more and will always listen to hints, tips, and advice. My setup currently includes a triton v2 tank with an ipv3li modā¦ Drip with a velocity RDA with the same mod. I donāt care for nickel coils as I enjoy good flavor. Happy vaping all!!!
Hello there,
Iām Alan, 26 and in Denver. Regular smoker for ten years until this December when I got into vaping in a big way. Had a hard time finding flavors I liked, and when I did, generally ended up being on the pricier end of things. Friend of mine told me about looking into the DIY scene and I decided to do the same. Iāve spent a good bit of time reading and researching the ins, outs, and what have yous, and finally pulled the trigger on ordering some kit. Iāve been mixing test batches of my first flavors these last two evenings and having a blast. This forum has been a tremendous resource and look forward to being in the mix for my new DIY journey!
Heya Alan! Welcome aboard!! DIY is great when you have champagne taste on a beer budget. Glad youāve found some help getting started.
I wish I hadnāt waited so long to speak up! Cause youāre probably not going to see me on with any regular pattern. As I said in my into, Iāve been sick a long time, Thursday they finally found out why.
2 years of vaping does not wipe out 40 years of smoking. ā¦I have cancer of the bladder. I go in 3/10 to see if itās been contained within the bladder walls or if I need to put that bucket list on fast forward.
Theyāve been keeping me knocked out most the time this past week, itās made for some funny text & emails as Iāve tried to keep church informed. Hopefully I will be able to get back here to give an update also.
Have given my son a crash course on mixing & told him to just follow my recipes. .I expect to be kept supplied with the yummy juicies Iāve learned to mix here and not have that vendor puke brought to me. LOL
Miss you guys, pray Iāll be back soon!
Hey everyone, Iām Lou. I started smoking at age 12. Iāve tried to quit way too many times to count lol. The first time I tried gaping was back when it was just cartridges. I couldnāt get along with those at all and went back to smoking for about 5years with attempts to quit in between. Long story short I became pregnant two years ago and finally managed to stay off cigs for a year. After my little one was born I started to get cravings to started smoking again. I found out about tanks and mods from my brother who managed to quit smoking and let me try a few of his out. So Iāve been vamping for a year now and love it. I wanted to start dyi to try create the best vinallia flavours I can lol since most taste too weak to me. Iāve started small though with Apple pie, blackberry and chinniom Danish. Thatās all I can think of to say lol. So far this forum has been great Iāve learn so much already in just two days and started working on my vinallia yesterday
Oh, wow. I am so sorry to hear that! Youāll be in my thoughts. If you are comfortable with it and donāt feel like getting on much, please have your son keep us updated. Rest and take care of you.
He Lou! Welcome to the forum. Iām glad that youāve found some useful info here and we were able to help. :)\
Totally agree with @JoJo here @HoneyGram57, relax, get your rest, and get back here tell us everything is going good for youā¦
Hello all. Been a peeping Tom here for awhile and wanted to delurk and say hello to be polite! Been a smoker for about 25 years. Quitting is easy! I did it about 100 times, but always wound back smoking again. Tried the gas station ecigs and they were only good for stealth vaping on the plane as I travel a lot for work. Was doing some work in California and saw a bunch of people sucking on these funny looking boxes and when I got back home to NY I started looking into them. Been vaping for about 2 months, still smoking but nowhere near as much. At this point I think the actual cig is like a baby giving up their security blanket. In the last month this forum has led me to mixing some of my own juices and as my confidence grows and the flavor improves over the store bought stuff I can see me being cig free in the very near future. Thanks to all for the wealth of knowledge you have shared unknowing with me!
Welcome @Alchemy - Soon youāll realize that you donāt need the stinkies at all And with DIY youāre on a journey!
So sorry to hear that. Hope all works out well for you. Best of luck and take it easy.
Welcome! Donāt worry, it will come. Try not to focus on it as a means to quit, but on what you enjoy about it. If youāre anything like me, thinking about how much you need to quit will just make you want to more. One thing that worked for me when I really decided to quit was every time I really, really wanted a cigarette Iād take several puffs on my vaporizer and tell myself I could have a cigarette in five more minutes. Usually, by the time five minutes had passed, Iād completely forgotten or just didnāt feel like it anymore.
My, I have been slacking and hadnāt been in this thread for a long time. Welcome to everyone who chimed in from the last post I made in here until now. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to root back though to my last post and find out if this means you are being considered in this welcome message. If so, feel no need to thank me. Just Hit me up on the forum sometime and correct my grammar or something for me
Seriously, welcome to all of you. This is the best place in the universe for DIY wisdom and knowledge. Congrats on finding it. Post on!
