What percentages are you using the apples at? My first thoughts are to try and lower it and see how that does.

Are you sure it’s not the cinammon that’s harsh? I found that with one of my mixes.

Created a mix yesterday with Fuji apple, it definitely needs an over night airing, pretty potent alcohol-ish scent from it, it’s mellowed out this morning, smells like a cross between a crisp granny smith and apple drop sweets

What percent did you mix it at?

On the Fuji? My first mix using it was at 4%, it was very strong up until this afternoon, but it’s starting to mellow and is tasting pretty good. It’s god an almost pear-like after taste, which I like, but seems a bit odd. Might be the nonna cake backing helping that though

Karma Cookie

Ingredient %
Bavarian Cream (TPA) 2.5
Caramel (Original) (TPA) 1
Cookie (FA) 1.5
Fuji Apple (FA) 4
Marshmallow (FA) 1
Nonna's Cake (FA) 2
Sweet Cream (TPA) 2

Flavor total: 14%

Nonna for sure may add to the pear flavor. Also your percent may be a touch high for Fuji or at the limit of dimishing returns for Fuji FA.

As for “airing” out I don’t normally find the need. FA is not alcohol base. But when you add creams and lots of other notes I like a few days of aging/steep before steeping. Some of those flavors on day one end up on top, but move back to the appropriate spot in line after a few days. Leaving the caps off just lets the good stuff out. But that is my own opion.

It smells like alcohol fresh from the bottle, might be because I had just opened it new. 4% seemed to be the general top end % on recipes I looked up using it. I like strong flavours. And it is the main flavouring here. It’s calmed down a lot , as I said, since. I usually know by the smell if a juice needs airing, it’ll never do it any harm overnight. That’s as long as I’d do it. And overnight to me is usually only 5-6 hrs. I don’t sleep much

Do you mix Anton Apple as a single flavor ? What % ? I could not find any notes on it :grinning:

@JoJo Have you tried the INW Anton Apple yet ? If so what % ?

I haven’t. I am on a temporary flavor buying freeze until I get through some of what I already have and at least figure out what they’re like. :stuck_out_tongue:

I mixed it at 3% for single flavor testing.

So it’s stronger than (tpa) green apple ?

I’ve never tried tpa green apple, but in general most INW concentrates are going to be much stronger than TFA. I like a fairly strong tasting vape and 3% was plenty strong enough to single flavor test.

What about TFA Green Apple? Have you heard or tried?

And by the way @therealDR-GONZO, I looked up Anton Apple, and apparently it has a HUGE amount of acetoin in it :frowning: :frowning: I was hoping for a good Fuji like green apple.
