absolutely. I myself only share emails from vendors i have used or know by others to be reputable. I am sorry that you had a bad experience w/ my last ‘good deal’ posting but sadly thats the nature of the beast. Out of 100s of good reviews there always be one poor fella who got screwed and sorry this time it was you.
I’m very glad to hear you got your mod finally.
At this time I’m willing to forgive a problem from a vendor or shipping chain in China. The people are restricted in work due to the Corona Virus. I don’t know for sure but they may be short handed or without some communication and technical support they are used to. They may even be running on a skeleton crew. I’ve also become fond of Vapeciga and not hesitate to buy from them and recommend them to others.
On a sort of side note but not completely, I’ve seen some behind the scenes video of China’s shipping distribution hubs and all I can say is it’s amazing that we even receive a fraction of what we do unharmed!!! We’re talking about an army of young men and maybe women hand sorting mountains of packages that are just shoved towards them, bulldozer style.
No worries man… I meant to say in that other post about VaporRange… that I have ordered from them a couple of times before. One was without a hitch, the other had an issue with OOS items by the time they went to pick my order, and the last one was total BS. So, I’m sure folks have lucky orders and not so lucky orders from certain vendors. It can be a roll of the dice sometimes… but, I’m not really a betting kinda guy. I’ll try and stick with the solid vendors from here on out.
No doubt! I wouldn’t want to try making a living like that! I do feel bad for that sector of customer service… very under-appreciated! And they probably get paid peanuts for the work.
Personally, I’d rather have them qualify the post by sharing the deal, and stating flat out that “I’ve never ordered from here before, but here’s the deal I found. Does anyone have any experience with ‘xyz’ vendor?”
I recall quite a few instances of new folks wanting to be helpful by sharing a deal from a vendor that many of us know, but they didn’t (and/or know the history of… EG: VapeNW taking a swan-dive in what they carried, and customer service when they were sold/taken over a couple years ago. Though it seems they have improved somewhat.) most have been legitimate deals.
Hell, some folks won’t order direct from China at all (long before the whole virus thing started).
I don’t think we have anyone here that would intentionally or knowingly want to do that.
I’m with you in that I think it would be in the best interest to get confirmation from someone with experience (hopefully more than a single instance, but if the details of a poor experience merit it, even a single bad reference is enough to stop me from placing the order) and hopefully it’s recent experience.
My overall request would be:
If you haven’t ordered from the vendor whose Deal you’re sharing, say that in the post!
Then, those that who aren’t familiar with the vendor can wait for input from their fellow members before proceeding.
As said above though, I’m sorry you had to go through all the headaches. But I definitely appreciate your sharing the experience and details with everyone.
Because it’s the same as the person trying to save others some money, both are in the interest of trying to help their fellow vapers!
I’ve always had a good experience with Everzon. Sometimes they were a tad bit slow on getting the order out of the door… however, after one well-placed email from the buyer, one usually sees movement.
I recently had after some good experiences a bad experience with Everzon. I had a missing BF Pin and they could no solve it.
Greedy on shipping it after I claimed it and then missed it to add to my next shipment which we agreed and asking me afterwards to pay for the shipping cost.
So I will stay away from Everzon.
I’ve had the same experience with a number of vendors just like that…
The last vendor, with which I had issues (unnamed for now; still working on the problem), bungled up a parts order and wouldn’t do anything about making it right. I’m trying my hardest to not go “Full Reddit Asshole” on this vendor. The brand name is very well known and has a fairly big loyal cult following. The issue is kinda small potatoes and super first world-ish… but, still, I paid money for something that wasn’t fulfilled properly by the vendor. Disappointed!
I usually give the vendor 3 chances to make it right… then, the just, rightful, and extreme social media slandering begins!
I see an action movie in the future
I am sharing my experiences. End of the day it’s always a question on how much are your savings on all the staff you buy vs. how much is your loss, when one warranty case is not honored.
I had surprising cases in the US, where I learned that high price doesn’t go hand in hand with customer service and other cases overseas, where I was surprised on the customer service with low prices.
Sharing experience helps hopefully others to make that decision.
No doubt!
Yes… my issue, as of late, was exactly as you stated:
… and because of my extreme disappointment with this vendor, I won’t be purchasing anything else from them and will probably inform others to be in the lookout for their shenanigans.
In our small little DIY realm, customer service should be a main concern for the vendor… not just moving and getting cash for goods.
LMAO. Love it!
There‘s nothing to add!
had my first bad deal:
focalecig.com
the site seems to autoprocessing orders with no one to take them. thankfully looks like Paypal will intervene. i’m deleting my account and unsubsribing from their list as soon as i get my money back (minus a euro it seems).
the website hasn’t been updated since december and their emails and social media are unresponsive.
there’s an old thread suggesting theyre related to hotecig.com which does look the same and has the same partner (vapinundergrnd). i emailed them but no reply_ as far as i’m concerned, they on my nono list too.
This is a great idea. I’ve never heard of Ele8vape so thx. I’ll be back with some things to add later.
I used to deal with focalecig years ago with no issue. If you had a problem or question you would speak to their rep, Doris, who was great with customer service. One day I received notice from them that they were now going to be called hotcig. I still have them in my bookmarks and that old focalecig link leads to this:
This page isn’t working

Exactly, customer approach is just as important as their customer service. Firm but polite goes a long way…in my experience.
Is there a complete list of all the vendors listed in this thread for easy viewing? That way I dont have to read every single comment on here. Not lasy, just that there is alot of comments to go thru & I think it might be important to keep an up-to-date list in a single comment or thread with maybe a very brief (as in a few words) to what their issues are (aka bad customer service, lies, doesnt follow thru with policies, etc) & keep it pinned somewhere (possibly) so we can access it easily when we want to check out a vendor we may have never dealt with or heard before.
Just a thought. If there is such a thing, can someone please show me where its at?
helloo_ do i recognize the picture?
Yes, I found a thread here, someone looking for focal and someone said theyre hotecig now.
I found focal while looking for sold out drippers.
I emailed several of their addresses and even email hotecig about the sitaution but no answer. paypal said theyre giving them ten days to resolve the situation or they’ll reverse the payment (thankfully). i got really worried about the whole thing, not being that comfortable with the whole online thing in the first place.
the starnge thing is the order status on my account changed to cancelled= reversed by paypal then changed to shipped. idk what’s going on. but i’ll give it till next week and check back in with paypal if i don’t receive anything_ the order i made is from a european warehouse so it shouldn’t need much time as it’s not intercontinental.
i guess i’d understand a shutdown shop not having the personnel to fix the site and prevent autoprocessing_ but theyre up and running with a new domain and just left the first running that’s just annoying.
there’s a 24hourshipping label on the thing i made too, so even if they deliver it’s not exactly an honest contract. i only ordered this as my order from the states was stuck in international shipping limbo, i might not have ordered if it didn’t say quick shipping…
ah well, live n learn
