Can someone be allergic to PG

Rohampa I have been reading this and see so many of the same struggles I was having in your posts. I had a terrible flu spring of 2019 and was left with a cough that lasted months. I had all but quit smoking cigs( a pack was lasting me up to 11 days) but after that flu I could not vape without choking so back on the cigarettes I went. I purchased the Innokin Zlide as part of a package(Kroma-R) . I started mixing after that hoping to get something I could vape without choking. I had always been stuck at a 70/30 vg/pg and was still having problems with the coughing . I changed to 60/40 and was I surprised . I think one of the problems was dry hits from the liquid not being absorbed because it was was too thick. I also had problems with crusted coils when I used a bit too much Capellas Super Sweet so next batch I paid close attention to that and reduced it significantly. No more crusted coils and flavour for weeks. The kit I bought did not include the battery but for $12 not a big deal . With that set up you can use the nic salts with the 1.6 ohm coils. I run regular nicotine with the .48 ohm Plex3D mesh coils. They last forever as long as you use sweeteners sparingly. A 30ml mix I use no more than 10 drops of Capella Super Sweet. Im not sure what nic strength you are using but the higher the nicotine and the harsher it is on the throat and lungs. Nic salts is a bit more harsh than regular nic but you get more of a rush like from a cigarette. And I have to say I am really impressed with the Innokin Zlide tank. No leaks and flavour for weeks. Hope this was helpful. Oh and the Zlide is MTL-Mouth to lung. If you open it all the way you can do DTL but its quite tight. Another tip that might be useful if you find that your tank leaks out the intake air holes your not running it hot enough. Turn up the watts to near the top of the rating. I havenā€™t had that problem with this tank but did with others and that tip was passed on to me on a site just like this one.

I agree and I never said to add more, nor did I say to use liquor in a juice mix. I only mentioned Everclear and Diesel as being Pure Grain Alcohol (PGA), which is the same thing as Ethanol and Ethyl Alcohol: the kind of alcohol used in PG-Free and VG-Free flavorings.

But I wonder what your feelings are on Triacetin. Iā€™ve never used it, but TFA does have a few flavorings in Triacetin. Thanks.

Weā€™ll have to wait on her reply for that one. I didnā€™t see where she said she was diluting it, but I could have missed it. All I saw her say is, and I quote: "I am using River Supply 100mg nic salts." To which I said, 100mg/ml nicotine is a lot of nicotine, and I thought that could be whatā€™s making her cough.

Her only mentions of "dilute" was to ask what to use to thin her 100mg/ml VG Nic and USP VG in her mixes, and to say, and I quote again: "I have also read that using only VG will clog up the coils fast and I use VG everything. I use 100mg/ml VG nicotine, VG Dilutant, and then usually one flavoring or maybe I will mix two flavorings together if I can get them to taste like anything. I have tried to do more complicated recipes with more flavorings with no success." I donā€™t think she was talking about diluting the River Supply 100mg Nic Salts here, but rather the mixes sheā€™s tried, so she will probably clear that up for us when she comes back.

I stopped using the standard flavors a few years ago and havenā€™t looked back yet

As for all thisā€¦ Pretty sure she saw it allā€¦ who knows?
I think she resolved it, but againā€¦ until she reports backā€¦

Meantime omg I made this fab juice lolol  Yeah I knowā€¦ we all wish it was a continual conversationā€¦ in the meantimeā€¦ off to charge my set up and bedā€¦

I was reading through your Flavorah-based recipes, but couldnā€™t tell what some of them are by the names. I told a friend about your Juicy Fruit Gum, which is how I found your Flavorah-based recipes, but couldnā€™t translate the names of many into what they would taste like. Have you ever made an Irish Cream that tastes like Baileyā€™s? Years ago, I won an Alien Vape E-Liquid contest on ECF and was given a 60ml bottle of their Irish Cream. OMG, itā€™s exactly like Baileyā€™s! I would love it of you could come up with one, if you havenā€™t already.

I use Irish Cream from FLV.
I do have acces to a whiskey flavor from my work, so yeahā€¦ I can spike it

If you could whip that up and give me access to the recipe once itā€™s ready to release, I would greatly appreciate it. If it matters to your recipe, I use Max VG. I guess any required steep time could be found in the recipe? The Notes? Or maybe with ā€œAdapt thisā€?

I started watching your The Flavorah Diary YT videos and found your How to build a wickless coil for vaping YT video that you referenced in Part 2. I was wondering how you could wipe out your test RDA without messing up the wicking or having one flavoring affect the next by just blowing on it. I guess it would also be good for taste testing new juice mixes? I think thatā€™s so cool and Iā€™m going to follow your guidance and make one for myself. I have a drill & wire twisting rig that I made years ago, and itā€™ll be perfect for this. I also have the flat jaw pliers. I like TC Vaping, but since itā€™s 30g Kanthal, that coil can last for a long time with dry burning. Isnā€™t it amazing how a video of yours posted Jan 6, 2017 could still be helping people today? I thank you for that!

@anon84779643 What is that spinning tool called that you use to mix drops of flavoring when you havenā€™t microwaved the VG?

I think you are getting me mixed up with my friend Christian.
He did those vids based off how I mix.

I brag and show them off to peopleā€¦ Christian deserves a spot in all my madness

As for a recipe using it, it wouldnā€™t do you a bit of good, if you do not have access to the flavors I do. Some just donā€™t sit in resellers websites waiting for you to add to cart.

If I do have a public recipe for irish cream, you are more than welcome to tinker with itā€¦
Best I can do on a short notice.

All Iā€™ve watched is your The Flavorah Diary YT videos, Parts 1 and 2 so far, and your How to build a wickless coil for vaping YT video. You may be giving credit to Christian, but I havenā€™t seen anything by him.

That is him, Christian is the guy in the vidsā€¦ I am just a girlā€¦ I donā€™t even have boy parts
I promiseā€¦ itā€™s not me in the vids

Plunderdrum is in the process of making and adapting two juices to Max VG for me, and he told me to get the flavorings for my taste testing at DIY Vapor Supply. When I couldnā€™t find all of the FLV there, I bought those 3 from Bull City Flavors. Are you saying that I should try to find an FLV Rum? If not FLV, then what brand?

As far as a rum, FLV doesnā€™t have one.
As far as any other rum, use what you wishā€¦ I donā€™t care for the standards.
I do not do

lo, tfa, cap, fa, fw, vta, wf or molinberryā€¦

I have access to some flavors that are not on the market, that are from my lab.
I do sell them from time to time, but it is nothing stable. It might taste one way nowā€¦ and poof for a few months and either come back as it is, or it could be improvedā€¦ Things changeā€¦

Using flvā€¦ it doesnā€™t matter if your base is max vg or 100vg or even 50/50 as it is strong enough that it is not base dependent. its the best bang for your buck

I just did a giveaway on fb for Fatherā€™s dayā€¦ there will be more contests coming up at another time

Crud, I meant to say a Whiskey. Does FLV make a Whiskey to go with it. Whiskey is what you mentioned you could spike FLV Irish Cream with. Or do you thing FLV Irish Cream is a standalone flavoring?

I think you could use it as a stand alone, and i have spiked it with bourbonā€¦ as well as a whiskey from work. I will say now, stay low with Irish creamā€¦ or you will be picking up baileys and doing a lot of comparison tastes, but that might not be a bad thing

I can try FLV Irish Cream by itself and know fairly quickly if it needs an Irish Whiskey added. Iā€™ve spent a little time exploring its uses, and 0.75-1.5% seems to be where it hits its best performance as a standalone flavoring. Guess Iā€™d start at 0.75% and work up.

A reviewer on Reddit said: ā€œComparing this to FA Irish Cream, the FLV seems a little more geared towards tasting like a full coffee vape. I get more dark coffee out of the FLV than the FA version. The FA Version ends up being more realistic to just Irish Cream, although they both have their charms.ā€

You donā€™t use FA, but might you think that mixing these two together could help round it out? FA Irish Cream is said to mix in at 1-3%. Thanks!

I think you missed this question, but do you know what that spinning mixing tool that Christian uses is called when he adds drops of flavoring into VG when he hasnā€™t microwaved the VG first?

You can start where you like, but my meaning of start low in testing is .12% and work your way up. I would also give your testers some steep time too.

With flv, you wonā€™t find odd numbers.

If you mix by scales:

1 drop = .02g

2 drops = .04g

3 drops = .06g orā€¦ .12%

There are exactly 50 drops in 1 ml, so make sure if it is an all flv recipe, set your drops in the elr calculator. and Yes I go by 1ml = 1g

I hate to compare one brandā€™s flavor to the next brand.
I will say this: If you get anything other than the intendedā€™s taste, you are overdoing it.
Most overuse flavorahā€¦ I havenā€™t met anyone that starts low, and they alwaysā€¦ go too high.

Example: Pucker tobacco is not a tobacco but an additive, from 1-3 drops in 30ml helps to make your vape both tart and pucker. I know. I had a hand in the creation of that additive. It will turn creams into powders, if you peg the numbers right.

No I do not use FA, I havenā€™t in many years, personal reasons.
Would I mix them together? No. Why? because FA canā€™t hold a candle to FLV, for me. It is a standard flavor and if I were to mix anything with FLV, it would be like to likeā€¦ ie: MF or BF or any of the SCā€™sā€¦

If you watch himā€¦ he names it. Itā€™s called a frother.

@anon84779643 Wow, you are always so helpful! Plunderdrum told me to get an American Weigh LB-501, so I did. muth just told me that you work at Flavorah, and now you mention that you ā€œhad a hand in the creation of that additive, Pucker Tobacco.ā€ I wish I had the pallet and taste buds to be a Mixologist, but I donā€™t and Iā€™m not, and probably never will be. But your explanation of how FLV Flavorings work will certainly be helpful. Iā€™ll buy some FLV Irish Cream and experiment with it, starting at 0.12% as suggested.

Iā€™ve seen that said a number of times. 0.12% is quite low, so now I know better how to experiment. Your drops per gram will help there as well. My ELR Calculator is set to grams for Pdrumā€™s juices, so Iā€™ll have to set it for drops for this? Or just use your 1 drop = 0.02g, 2 drops = 0.04g, and 3 drops = 0.06g or 0.12% and use the scale on grams?

Or use Christianā€™s USP VG Testing method, then add the nicotine in the calculator once I have the flavoring percentage I like worked out. Sorry, but Iā€™m new to this.

Wow, you guys are all so helpful! Thanks for the frother link! I hope the thinner attachment will fit into my bottles. That one looks like what Christian used.

I see youā€™re ā€œThe Steam Crave Guy.ā€ I recently bought a Glaz RTA V2; my first Steam Crave product. Gotta say that I love the glass chimney and bubble glass. Huge build deck and great flavor!

Only do this if youā€™re using authentic FLV bottles, or if you measure your drops per ml yourself to see if the bottle you got from a reseller is actually 0.02g per drop!

And, only if all of the bottles used in your recipe have the same gram per drop as each other.

I do not work for Flavorah, 100ā€¦

I am an affiliate, wholeseller and retailer.
I do not have any shops but I can pick up anything needed for anyone, within the USA.
I also sell shots of my recipes, by bottle size.

I do grams, however, my settings are a bit of the unusual as I do take advantage of the drops per ml box, found when you set it to drops.

[most just ignore it and the default wonā€™t cover it at 35dpm when there is 50 drops in a ml. ]

Otherwise, your weight on your scales will not match up with what the elr calculator saysā€¦ I will figure out something on my tutorial and repost it up again.

As for Christainā€™s vids, he has it straight from me. Remember what your drop weights, .02g then try a drop or so in 10ml bottles. I like to let mine steep, I do not use a frother, time is the best for steeping. Doesnā€™t take longā€¦ fruits overnight, creams nuts and tobaccos between 3-5 daysā€¦

We all have to start somewhere, and at least you are willing
