Just got this to try, and was expecting something a little … sweeter! tbh. I just whipped up a quick mix admittedly, maybe it requires a good steep? but it sees barely any different to sweet strawberry on initial testing
Anyone with experience of this one? I want to draw out a more candy, chewy strawberry flavour. Which is really what strawberry taffy ought to be
I’ve tried adding some different sours to it and basically I thought well I guess I have another strawberry to add to the list. Not really much of a taffy to me.
im glad i passed on that one , and the only reason i even thought about it was because i heard some good about it either @ozo@ringling or @Pro_Vapes use it i think
I’ve not tried sours yet, seems like it should be one to bring out the tanginess. I wonder if a very slight hint of lemon would give it a little booster also?
As of lately I’ve been using SB Taffy & Cap’s Jelly Candy together to get that effect.
Also just a tiny hint of a Salt water taffy will help push it further into more of a jelly candy. 2% SB Taffy 2% Jelly Candy and if you have any salt water taffy or not you just may like to try it w/o it to see.
The first candy SB I think of is FLV’s regular SB it’s very creamy like and candy sweet also if you have their SB filling it will do too.
I did this one tonight sooo WIP but I was aiming for a taffy burst like candy more than a straight up gummy
i use it in a glazed donut recipe and gave it a strawberry jam touch which is exactly what i was after… i like it and looking forward to trying it in strawberry milk/cream recipes
Pretty sure it’s the only ingredient in Vape Wild’s pinkle twinkle…haven’t confirmed with a mix yet…prolly mix at 15% stand alone…even their juice is best as a SNV…gets really weak after few weeks steep…still not bad tho for the first 5 hits or so lol
I tried this a couple months ago and couldn’t get anything from it but a little strawberry sweetness. Not really a fan but I could see it being good in a mix.
I guess. Eh.
I hardly used any and don’t see myself getting the bottle out again…
I don’t see why not. I tried sour tfa, tart and sour la, and sour wizard fa. My favorite is tart and sour la to get that sour flavor which is just my opinion. It might be good to try with a lemonade flavor.
Some good ideas there, must get me some sours, and jelly candy!
It can be a downer when the concentrate doesn’t live up to the description, but as mixers I guess we always find ways to make them shine. In the same order I got some Molinberry funky pineapple, and that one is delicious, though I think pineapple is hard to get wrong.
Here is one that I used the taffy in, with the melon it got smothered a bit but does add some background sweetness. As a melon mix it’s pretty good though
Haha, yeah that’s what I wanted! A super sugary blast. I have enough strawberries for the more subtle fruity numbers. I was hoping for that nostalgia of strawberry chews, with a tanginess. So far I don’t get it, but I think with some suggestions above I might get there.
You know Real Flavors has their Pink burst and then there’s OoO’s Pink Candy maybe those can assist you in your quest. Although I have a feeling you can get what you want out of it by way of Sour jelly candy and prob an additional sweetener like pyrue ( stevia ) or monk fruit. I can see a shot of citric acid or two lending some nice notes but then again a shot or two of blood orange can get you started to see if it’s going to help you.
Yes Orange cream wouldn’t do it. It’s not about making the orange stand out’s about utilizing the citrus in the orange to push the other fruits…make sense ? You’d use it low like 1-2 drops per 10-15mls just to increase the acidity.
Real Flavors I believe has their pink burst candy in raw form now I’d like to try it as the Vg based one is a bit too mild for me and I always wish it were bolder. I wish you luck !
