Yup. I found that on Ti and TC I was burning the chocolate at anything above 350 degrees. Now on my TFV4 I can run it at 100 watts. Maybe it’s because I have the air wide open. I don’t know. But it does gunk up the coils after a few days.
I know this isn’t much help for your Inawera flavoring. But from what I have read on here almost all chocolates taste like a Tootsie Roll except for Flavourart. I use Vienna Cream with my FA chocolates to create a milk chocolate flavor.
I haven’t tried it standalone yet because it seems like chocolate flavorings need some vanilla to taste good, but I don’t get a ton of tootsie roll flavor from Double Chocolate (Clear) (TPA). Here’s the current state of the recipe I’m working on with it. Pretty simple, should be good, tho this batch is still steeping:
Not in the recipe I listed, above, @LordVapor . When I substitue FA Chocolate in the place of Inawera Milk Chocolate, THEN the same recipe is definitely a Dark Chocolate vape and very good.
Ok cool. So my Twixted recipes - do you think the chocolate would be better if I used INW Milk Chocolate instead? Because that is a flavor I don’t have.
I guess what I meant is, you have used FA Chocolate and FA Cocoa together. And you have used INW Milk Chocolate. Which combination makes for the best Milk Chocolate?
I will try that recipe tomorrow… As I don’t have double chocolate I will substitute it with in chocolate. Can I use Madagascar vanilla instead of the swirl do you think?
They taste very different to me. It’s pretty well liked, but I’m not completely sold on my FW Madagascar vanilla. I’m thinking I need to try it at a much lower percentage than I have been using it at so far.
I had a complete failure of a recipe that was (all FW) Madagascar Vanilla (3%), Yellow Cake (3%), and Double Dutch Chocolate (6%). I had very high hopes for it, but if I try it again I’m going to use 1% mad vanilla - it dominated the mix pretty heavily, and lacked any sort of sweetness. You mentioned Vienna cream tho, so you’re using FA, right?
Madagascar vanilla is like vanilla extract, whereas vanilla swirl is like vanilla ice cream. If you use madagascar vanilla, I’d make sure you have some extra cream to balance everything out.
