Just so everyone is aware, I am drinking Walmart Brand “Great Value” instant decaf coffee intentionally!
Just got some new bags of Drag up Coffee’s Irish Cream, Jamaican Me Crazy, and my favorite Bourbon Pecan Praline.
My brother in law travels around the world for work and he always sends me coffee samples from different places. The best coffee so far was from a hotel in Vienna. It was the smoothest, richest cup of coffee I’ve ever had. It had the slightest hint of cinnamon. Mmm so good.
I discovered that Dollar Tree sells the same containers as Folgers only they are clear plastic, not red, and of course only a dollar.
You mean $1.25? Inflation, ya know?
A couple of days ago started drinking Sumatran from a vendor in Phoenix. It is delicious with my ADV…or anytime !!
yup, The Dollar 25 Tree
The first five, of many bags of coffee beans to come, heading to the deep freeze. There are things I can do without on a daily basis… Coffee is definitely not one of them.
I have “roughly” four vices:
1.) Coffee… Not giving that one up, heck or high water.
2.) Nicotine (liquid or solid form)… That one can be taken from my cold dead hands.
3.) Tobacco (containing nicotine)… Kinda of a repeat, but, see #2.
4.) Unhealthy and Misguided loyalty to my job/employers… I’m about 7/8th of the way to kicking that one. Wish me luck. I kinda look at work like this now:
Anyway… back to the coffee. The future doesn’t look pretty for it. I know it’s a first world problem… but, just sayin, ya might want to stock up; pay reasonably now or out the butt later.
I’ve got enough liquid nicotine stocked up 'til I’m headed feet first to the morgue. It’s coffee and bananas (not one of my vices, but darned close), I’m fearful of being without, due to climate or disease. It’s gonna happen… just a matter of time. Sad!
Some people drink coffee to wake up, I wake up to drink coffee
my hope is that climate change will allow me to grow coffee in canada
Next round:
… love me some Cafe Du Monde! Now, I just need to make a breakfast supper tonight and fry up some…
… N’awlins finest!
the kirkland espresso blend at costco is actually really good
if you haven’t tried it. That’s my go-to
Otherwise i drink kicking horse. I love 454 horsepower but my last batch wasn’t great i swear there has been a change at that company since LavaZZa bought them out
starbucks (i know) french roast is actually great
Nabob (surprisingly) full city dark is also very good
i don’t vape much desserts but today it will lemon meringue tart with espresso
Our house is more a light/medium roast type on a daily basis. I will make up a full strength pot of Cafe Du Monde, when I know it’s just me which will be draining the pot dry. I know gaslighting folks is wrong (sometimes)… but, sneaking a table spoon (or three) of a bolder blend into the daily pot is, let’s say, an awesome way of both worlds getting what they want.
It’s kinda like when you switch your dogs or cats kibble to a different brand/flavor… ya kinda have to blend the new stuff into the old. Otherwise, you’re gonna have problems.
sadly I inherited a disease from my mothers side called “French”
it pre-disposes me to only liking dark roasts, smelly cheese and onions
Oh… I’m there with you on the stinky cheese and onions… load up the charcuterie board with that stuff.
I’m from way down south in the US, so I have a bitter and burnt gene! However, living 40 years on the front lines of marriage, one must learn when to keep your head below the trench line… otherwise, you’re liable to get your head shot off!
I used to get Colombian Supremo from Sam’s Club and enjoyed it for many years. A nice medium dark roast. However, sometime in the last year either my taste has changed or the bean has changed. It no longer does it for me. Lately I’ve been ordering from European Cafe out of Arizona. I’ve enjoyed their Tanzanian Peaberry, Brazilian, Guatemalan and a few other single origin beans. Want to try their Kenyan AA, but is is always out of stock.
