Thanks! Yeah, it’s not all sunshine and roses all the time . Some days I can’t seem to do anything right so I just walk away. Other times I’m in the zone and everything seems to fall in place. Its been a fun/rewarding hobby for sure though. Watching some of my ideas come to fruition has been amazing at times.

A few more color experiments for your viewing pleasures:

5.5 mm ID, 5x30/40

This one is known as a Blue Striped Viper coil or BSVC for short :

This one game me cosmic vibes:

Stunning @INOIROC.

Thanks! I got one last color experiment (at least for a while). I reversed the roles of SS and KA1 for this coil:

It got a little misshaped but whatever (I’m not using it). It’s a mostly kA1 SFC with partial SS fusing, 5x30/40ga, 5mm ID.

That’s pretty darn cool!

@INOIROC You should start making rings and bracelets!

Gotta say, looks like a work of art. Like @TorturedZen said, you might want to make jewelry as a sideline. They really are beautiful.

Thanks guys. I’ll have to look into jewelry, could be a lot of fun. It’d be cool to make copper bracelets or just some with colored stainless wire.

I saw an older post at the coil porn sub on Reddit. I took a screenshot in case I ever wanted to try it. Here’s the one I’m talking about:

Instead of bare wire in between everything, I went with folded ribbon .

The sizes I used are 30ga, .3ribbon, and 40ga clapton/fusing. I made another one but used even smaller sizes (32ga, .2 ribbon, and 42ga).

I also did some glow shots a while back. I hadn’t done any prior. I’ll post some below.

Here’s a SSFC with 20 piece ribbon stack:

Specs are N80: 2x32+(20x.2)/42ga

My God, you must have the patience of a platoon of saints. These are works of art.

Thanks for the kind words everybody :+1:. I wrapped up the other stick and made a coil for my Dragon today.

This one definitely tested my vision. I only used magnification a few times to make sure things were going well. If I’m gonna do more super complex wires, I’ll probably look into some kind of a magnifying tool. I have several head seats, but haven’t liked any of them.

Looks great in that ED @INOIROC.

Thanks bud :+1:.

I have another Elder Dragon build. I ordered 46, 48, & 50ga N80 a while back. Not sure why, probably curiousity. Those thinner wires are probably not practical (Prone to breaking during/after cleaning). Anyways, I decided to try some out. I made a Staple coil with 48. The specs are 14x.3/48ga. Here’s a few pics:

That stuff was ridiculously hard to see. It could’ve jumped backwards over itself, and I probably wouldn’t have known lol.

Dude… Your stuff looks AMAZING!! Wow! I am very impressed!

Yes it does @D.Sims. I wouldn’t shoot for THAT type of coil, just yet.

Grab some premade spools my friend. This thread is one, even with all my teeny tiny work, I avoid as I have no patience for going through all the steps create such impressive wires.

Just view this space as beautiful but baffling artworks which are in no way useful for one starting to create their own coils - for now.

Oh, I have a new spool coming tomorrow, so I may upload the process of coiling, wrapping and legging for a few.

Oh I couldn’t agree more Squirrel- and I would appreciate if you could post a few pics for a total newbie!

I have to remind myself… Breathe and take baby steps. :baby: :face_in_clouds::hugs:
