Got more more wire in today.
30, 32, 34 and more 38 Nichrome 80.
Gonna have a play around with high gauge aliens and “Belly of the Beast” wires for my billow v2.

High gauge alien wire for now is a little beyond me lol.
So I’ve made some Staggered Fused Clapton wire and coiled some up.
Here’s some pics.
This was using 26gKA1 as the core wire and 32gNm80 as the wrapping wire.
4 wraps 3mm .24ohms single coil.

That’s a good looking build @Jondamon. You make me want to start building again. Maybe I can build and sell coils. I have a couple thousand feet of wire that doesn’t get any use.

Just had the shock of my life.
Was looking on twisted messes dot com at the new black and gold TM RDA and low and behold there’s some Squidoode coils.
2x fused staple coils for like $20 that’s a $5 coil at best lol.
So if you want to get your build on and then market some to a local B&M I would say go for it bro.

I’d be inclined to agree. I’d buy premade fancy coils. Lord knows I don’t have the time and energy to invest in it right now. 
At least that way I may get to experience some fun stuff.

YouTube is your friend when learning to make coils like I am right now.
the rest is time, patience and above all else WIRE. lol.
However though if it hadn’t been for @Pro_Vapes I would still be only twisting wire.

Been playing around with SFC wire again tonight.
Seeing how high gauge I can go to try and fit some in the Billow v2.
So here’s some for show.
I’ve made enough to make 2x5 wrap coils
30g Nichrome80 core wire
34g Nichrome80 wrapper.
Along with a shot next to a 3mm driver.
All done free hand except the 1 wrap wire removal used swivels.

Coupla questions for ya:
What is SFC wire?? And I’m new to wires and builds and RTA‘s…I have a Billow 2…I recently purchased some premade twist coils and premade Clapton coils…will that billow 2 handle those type coils? Or is that something hard to answer and ill just hafta try it out myself?

SFC wire is STAGGERED FUSED CLAPTON.
It depends what gauge the wires are.
If for example the Clapton coil is using 26g core with 32g wrapper it maybe too thick.
This is my current billow build.
It’s a 32g fused Clapton with parallel 29g.

What clapton and what twisted would be a good size/gauge to start off with and try?

You could try
Twisted 28g 2 strand
Twisted 32 gauge 4 strand
28g/32g Clapton
26g/36g Clapton
24/38 Clapton
If using a lower gauge core wire look for a higher gauge wrapping wire.
It might be more beneficial for you to tell me what types of wires you have.
I tend to wrap claptons these days with quite high gauge wire. 34/36/38/39
The higher gauge the core wire the quicker it will ramp up and the less watts you need to use.
My billow build above works from 20-50w.
I keep mine around 38w.

i ordered them from fasttech, i was going to just post the order receipt as a reply, but its kinda messy and i am limited right now…i am open to suggestions right now…

and also: when i share what i have, i will also state now. that i have learned to rewrap those claptons with a parallel wire for staged heatinf…i think i said all that right, lol
