Coil Building show offs!

no problem bro

That’s a pretty slick kit and cheaper than what I paid for all that crap individually. I wish I’d known about it when I started…sheesh. LoL. I have just about everything that comes in that kit and use most all of it. The pliers I got I wound up using most often for getting my stupid subtank base off my acrylic bell cap when I accidentally screw it down too tightly, but everything else is really useful for coil building. The ceramic tip tweezers are good if you are firing your coil and squeezing it. I made the mistake of using regular tweezers once and didn’t even think about it…pop pop fizz fizz. So glad I didn’t seriously screw anything up.

I have 2 Ti coil build for TC mods… These builds and tanks IMO are just as good as dripping.

This first build is on the Crown single coil RBA deck. 22 gauge Ti, .3mm ID @ .10 ohm. Really a beast of a single coil that low. I really was shooting for a .07 or .08 single coil. My next build I will try a 2.4 ml ID and a 3/4 wraps… That should get there.

This next build is a Ti dual coil on the TFV4 with TF-R2 deck. It has a 2.4 ml. ID, 25ish gauge. This should come in around .06 or .07 ohm. This is the best dual coil deck I’ve built on. Notice the 4 huge juice channel… also the screws are inset on the post like the Crown build deck. It traps the wires under the screw head instead of pinching the wires under the screws and breaking the wire.

Managed to lock in some Alien wraps last night!!

I only managed about 3" of wire in total but I learned a lot during wrapping.

2x26gKA1 cores with 29gNm80 wrapper.

Didn’t use the coil but the hour spent was useful.

This is how much wire I made today.

Not perfect but it’s getting there.

Here we go again folks.

Dragon skin coil.

So initially I claptoned some 28gKA1 with 38gNm80 and decored it.

Then I stretched out the 38gNm80 until it was approx 3x the length it started at.

Then I fed in some 29gNm80 through the stretched 38gNm80 (god this was hard) then cut into 3 pieces and reverse twisted it quickly to make the 38g stand up.

Then I used toothless pliers and the drill to flatten the 38g down.

3mm ID 5 wraps .42ohms single coil.

This was the pic before I received my macro lens!

Then at lunchtime my Macro attachment for my iPhone had arrived so I snapped a new pic.

Wow see what a difference a day makes.

The “scales” aren’t quite right on this I think I overstretched it.

But hey ho.

Thank you very much.

I actually couldn’t see any of that detail with my eyes last night.

This macro lens is gonna come in very handy for checking my work too.
