Coil Building show offs!

It really depends what you’ve got as to what will fit through the post holes in the billow v2

They arent very big post holes.

Normally for dripper builds I use 24/26 gauge cores with 34/38/39 wrappers with 24/26/28/29 parallel wires.

Post what you’ve got and we can see what will fit.

I’ve made the SFC wire smaller above to see if it will fit through the post holes. It’s about 1.2mm in width I think the posts in the billow are around 1.5-1.8mm so it may fit.

But I won’t know til about 4 hours time once my kids go to bed and I get to tinker lol.

You could use pretty much any of those listed that have an inner diameter less than 2.5mm.

Any Clapton wires that are using 24 or 26g cores with 32g wrappers would most likely need to have an inner diameter of 2mm otherwise you’d struggle for room without shorting on the chimney of the billow.

Any of the 26/26 twisted or 28/28 twisted would work pretty well.

28/32 would work.

Like I said though any coil you put into the billow needs to have a 2.5mm or less diameter.

Less again if your using a lower gauge core such as 24 or 26.

Any coils listed with a 3mm diameter are a no go.

I personally build my billow v2 using a 2.4mm driver.

It’s just right for most of the builds that I make for the tank.

It took about an hour, to make the wire and fit it in the Billow v2.

OK, I have to ask this: what are the pros to these kinds of elaborate builds on this billow v2? In comparison to just a standard build?

I’ve tried a standard wrap 26g Kanthal build in the Billow V2 and flavour to me was just ok.

With these types of builds on a standard VW mod non Temperature Control the flavour is superb.
