Sometime coil builds are just art… a thing of beauty that is. Not every build I do is highly effective but more satisfying with being able conceive… then create.

That’s where you and I differ right now then.

If I’m laying down some Kanthal to make an intricate coil I damn sure wanna be able to taste my hard work lol.

Im trying something a lil bit different… A lil twist on staple coil… 5 strand .8mm ribbon wire claptoned together. The other is your standard staggered fuzed Clapton.

It was just a a question, not an inquisition lol.

I think I’m going to rebuild my PV deck later with a dual coil fused Clapton build.

I’m just not sure yet with what variation if at all.

I can’t wait for my .45mm 317L wire to get here and my 36g Kanthal, well and my ribbon too so that I can start playing around with some variations of stapled wires etc.

I’m thinking possibly a loose wrap 317/32 Clapton on the outside with 3 or 4 ribbons in the centre and staple wrapped with 36g Kanthal. See whether i can get it to hold in place while I tape and wrap it. Lol.

I got something new I’m working on. I tried this once before, but this one came out near perfect.

Core 28g 317L, Outer Clapton core 30g Kanthal wrapped with 36g Kanthal.

You basically made a 30/36 Clapton and then used that to Clapton wrap a 28g 317 core!!!

From zooming on my iPhone it looks like a spaced 30/36 outer Clapton with shining 28g 317 core.

Wrapping around that 30g made them separate more than usual. They should trap a lot of juice.
@Jondamon I made 1 coil… I’m gonna do a sleeper when I build it.

That just looks insane!!!

I’ve wrapped a fused 28/28/32 dual coil in my PV RDA on a 2.5mm Rod with 4 wraps each.

Coming in at .27ohms.

There’s a little bit of ramp up but it’s a super tasty build.
