And so we are CLEAR FOLKS I STARTED MIXING MAY 17th 2016. AND DIYORDIE was the only resource that actually got me mixing. I started watching videos about maybe 2 months max before I could afford the flavors to get started and I had a ton of shop juice. I vaped for a couple full years buying shop juice so I know what made it to the store and like to create things I WOULD VAPE.
Take that as me being new or someone that really loves this.
Iāve mixed 82 recipes mine or others as of today. Just counted them all.
Joe Melvin. I told that to him. I think Jennifer flavor addicts knew. maybe a few more. its not a relevant stat to a good vape recipe to me tho

Apologies that there isnt really a big pitch anywhere on the site as I havent focused on it being marketing rather resources, just the facts on the homepage comparing the two options

Not a traffic trick to get people to site nothing like that. I had a hard time getting info from homepage of ELR so I build this for me, then figured others would like it. But if they donāt this is literally something I would turn off instantly if I kept getting gruff about it and it would go back to being my resource only. Itās a 2% part of the overall site even if it is your only intro to the site.

Im gonna sound like an asshat but everything you just said is provided free here at ELR or elsewhere on the internet, i dont see how you can justify charging for that.
The amazon idea is great though, imo i think you would do better to go that route and build a āfree resource siteā with affiliate links.

I am actually glad you did. It gives you a quick peek, and I would totally refund someone that didnt like what we do. Its all good, I am really a normally laid back calm cool person that just loves mixing as a hobby.
Those pages have NO content from any other sites as you can see. @grubby
As I said its mostly dreams right now and I never posted asking anyone to sign up yet. Its all in its baby stages.

I dont want to bash what your doing, i just dont see any clarity or reason to charge how your charging.
I respect anyone who steps up and trys to make something on the internet, it seems you have good ideas and i wish you the best of luck with them but please think about how it looks to the people of ELR.

I think most will give you mad props for defending what you are doing.I do know that carries much weight with me , for what that is worth.
Quick question , the paid subscription you mention does the 5.00/ month 50/ year include everything or is there other options that can be bought later.
I may give in and try it just for curiosity sake. I still donāt see the value but I am often wrong and the price is cheap enough.
Everything even if in a year it is 1000 write ups 1000 videos and 1000 private special recipes (while having more free always, as was always the plan.) Free recipebooks are like you top 95% favorites then the idea of the golden reserves was for special collabs, featured vape shop mixer recipes that WILL NEVER HIT ELR. stuff like that. Like I said Im a dreamer and you all are helping me really know what Iām willing to adjust and what we are sound and set in.
So it scales like netflix. same $5 even if its worth much more to people. so like maybe netflix sucked when it had 200 streaming titles, but most of you prob have netflix. Amazon prime, Audible, they all offer something different and then let people decide if they see that as valuable. For me I didnāt know I wasnāt allowed to make a site like this in some peopleās minds. It seemed like we all would want more sites, and seo, and links to help people stay alive and more vape.
That was my strategy for allowing it to remain a good value. No matter what there will always be more resources added than when you signed up so it scales if that makes sense. So sucks today for you, might be amazing and worth your money in two months, six months, a year. Still $5 bucks always.

Iāve seen this type of reaction happen in the past; itāll blow over. Hell, even Lars was given a raft of shit from ECF and VU when he started ELR.
Hey bud. Stick with it. But maybe one word of advice. Maybe give out 6 free āmembersā only memberships and have folks report back to the ELR forum.
If you truely have read the forums we are always concerned. We are hard to trust the new. So try to build some trust.
Pick the members that are already highly respected. I see you have any which is a good start. But more would be good.
An exampleā¦Wayne from DIY or diebuilt up his trust and respect first. Over a very long time prior to ācashing in.ā If you want to increase the speed of recieving thisā¦love love your friends, hug your enemies, kill your foes with love. Rather than going on the defensive. Those that are successful build up a thick skin.
Iām probably not qualified to offer anything constructive here @Ckemist , I havenāt been around long enough on this forum, but it was this that got me questioning what was actually going on here, you didnāt seem veryā¦I dunnoā¦happy? from a relatively newcomers perspective your attitude was a little āif you donāt like us then f$%k off we donāt need you anywayā or at least thatās how it came across to me, Iām all for progress and trying new things but you might want to work on your sales pitch ā¦lol, just saying.

my fatherās funeral was in new mexico on the night this was posted. I reacted totally sensitive. He died of Cancer on June 1st, around I started making the site.
So yes I totally get that this post has gone from defensive to reasonable in all ways. Apologies for the times i reacted from my personal feelings vs. representing the project. It was a mistake. That is why I have attempted to explain to those I feel are innocents here in this. I am here to help any new mixer with what I know thats all I know.
