On the subject of meat…10 workers from a local JBS meat packing plant test positive for the virus here in Nebraska and continue business as usual along with the one in Colorado. Food is an essential but concerns me who’s “handling the meat” and the safety of their employees.
As far as I know studies show the virus isn’t transferred to food supplies?
Since a carcass does not engage in anabolic processes, they might just be a brief, cozy resting place. That said (due to numerous possible pathogens), all food (surfaces of food objects) should be cooked.

I have a farmer friend taking in a couple cows for processing in a few days so I will have plenty of beef in my freezer as well as already having a bunch of walleye, catfish, crappie and bass from many weekends spent at the lake this past year. So yeah, I might be considered a meat hoarder. Just no meat songs. xD
