They want to come into my apartment tomorrow to try to disinfect for the tenants so no germs get spread around the complex… I told them I sterilize with UVC lighting.
I was told that fish tank light bulbs and black lights wont sterilize…
Don’t buck the herd immunity measures. They need to make efforts to keep everyone safe[r].
Oh and I get you know UVC is not blacklight bulbs and they don’t

I run 3, 36w UV-C lights on a timmer I wont be here so I have to go into the security system to shut the timer off. I think it takes 2 seconds of looking at them to permanently damage their retinas. 15 seconds to start a sunburn??? I can’t remember. They don’t like my wifi dvr monitoring system either.
They told me no one’s going to do anything to my apartment and that I didn’t need them…

Yeh… I know what UV-C lights are. at the wattage 2 are running they probably do a dandy job too. one in the kitchen, one in the hall and one in the living room. not 360 degree but flood lights. with all of them on, the reflection from the white paint will give you a nice scorch quick too @BoDarc I have m y security cams set to turn off when they go on. All trhough 1 dvr
Now I have to figure out what the DMX connectors are for on the back?
I would set my motion sensors to turn UVC lights ON so Burglars could actually be caught RED-handed [evil grin]

My number 1 question about CoV-19 and its impact in the US… why is it the US has the worst outcome so far from a virus the didn’t immenate in it’s borders?
In addition to the operational “Mystery Cult of Supply-Side Tinkle-Down”, probably the fact that our (for-profit, ~20% of US economy) “death care” system costs us double, and is ranked 37th on the planet ?

New York City really skews our overall numbers, the population density there combined with being an international travel hub has really hurt the city, New Orleans had Mardi gras That accelerated their spread, most other places haven’t hit crisis levels yet, even the projections for Los Angeles haven’t panned out to this point. Considering you can’t trust China or probably even Russia’s numbers, were probably not that bad compared to all of the predictions, and our death percentage is still fairly low compared to some other countries, especially considering the assumed numbers of Asymptomatic and untested probable cases… I’ll check the numbers again at some point tomorrow, but last I looked we were around 3.5% death rate but our testing numbers for mild symptoms still suck, death rates outside of nyc have been below 2% iirc, it’s bedtime for me for now though.
