Sorry this got all messed up trying to take it from the WR thread to here.
Discobot was automatically added by the Discourse software. Not sure if there are any plans to add any features to it. If you want to play with it, do it here or in PM.
If you want to start a tutorial to get the badges associated, send a PM to the bot that says
@discobot start new user
after that you can do
@discobot start advanced user
The two badges you get are the “Certified” and “Licensed” badges.
