Sounds like a very frightening experience but glad to read you’re on the mend.

I’m in the same boat with a high risk for lung cancer because of family history (both parents) and MANY years of smoking. Also have a small spot, so I get a CAT scan every year. My oxygen levels are great, but I still follow through with my scans.
@willie6 I had to have some serious talks with my PCP about vaping. I talked about current research and suggested she check out some of the studies. I also asked some questions about my health (after vaping for 3 years). I asked, “How many times in the past 3 years have I been in for pneumonia?..Bronchitis?..Any respiratory issues?” She checked my records and said, “Zero”. Then I asked about the prior 7 years. She saw that I used to get pneumonia every couple of years, bronchitis almost every year and also had other respiratory issues. After that conversation, she no longer suggests to me to quit vaping. And by the way, I love my PCP. She is awesome. She genuinely listens and is very open to discussions.
When I smoked regular cigarettes, I too got sinus and lung infections at the least once a year, but usually twice. Those are a thing of the past since I started vaping exclusively. I even forgot that untill reading this.
