Thanks for your honesty Doug.

We all have shitty days, weeks, months and sometimes years.

I have found that this is a place that can help distract from personal issues, or help with them too.

Stay strong :muscle: I know it can be hard but I wouldn’t want you to leave either.

@anon28032772, I get to come here, enjoy the conversations and people I think have inteligent ideas and thoughts without the name calling. after about 1/2 an hour the pain gets replaced by fun.

@mjag
Sometimes when one of you post an idea that’s radical, I think about it all day in the back of my head. Even the jokes lol. I look forward to chatting.

I had a lot of help picking myself up last night. That’s why I want to stay. You don’t get that in the world today. Usually they like to kick you when you’re down.

I think you’re weird, confounding, even nuts sometimes. But you belong here, and you’re in an odd way my brother. The brother I make sure acts like I don’t know him in public, but still…

HHAAAOOOWWWDEEEEE!!! hall ya’ll enjoin this shindig of a house arrest we have goin on? Well, I’ve been gone awhile. it’s all that “PPE” stuff we have to buy to fix your tv remotes!

I have a bona fide question… shouldn’t someone turn off the NSE switch now before it pancakes?

It’s not easy finding information out about N100’s - P100s. N95’s are the craze of the world. Have you ever tried an N95 or N-P100 disposable? I made a comment about using a HEPA vacuum cleaner bag. I was told it would be difficult to breathe through. They’re actually about the same if flat.

I’m looking online now to find out why 1/2 mask respirators aren’t handed out? There capacity to inhale\exhale is an incredible amount easier. Is it style? The reusable respirators can be wiped off or simply worn. Besides, the reusable ones require about 35 seconds - 1 minute of training to use.

I still haven’t found anything out about that. Still looking though.

Doug, why are you so absolutely centric around this damn microbe ? It seems that you have not been infected ? You fix printers in medical offices ? Man, the mind-screw out in the world seems enough to drive one totally nuts ? I hope that you get your head together, my friend. Don’t lose your life to dread !

I’ve been asked to leave and return with proper PPE. That includes an N95 disposable mask. I had a Dr. blow up at me for wearing wrap around safety glasses. I’m not used to being treated like this to fix printers. It used to be low stress. Now I am turning hospital tickets away and getting called asking why.

I wonder it others might be having similar issues. Places where it didn’t matter before have flipped out. And the screwy part of it all is you have to be precise about it. I just want to do my job. I wear more than enough protection. Either I’m scaring the residents and patients or I’m not well enough protected.

I’m getting a little tired of getting scolded by people who haven’t had the safety training for the masks. That and my eye protection. It’s really nuts. It’s not going to go a way much when the state opens up either. I wish it was the microbe that was my problem. It’s more the humans that have no idea.

Yes, people are becoming frenzied from all of the unsettling uncertainties. It’s only going to get worse. I am “retired” on a SSR pittance. Wish that you could get SSDI or SSI or something - but I am well aware that such takes an average of 3-4 years, 3-4 denials and appeals, and an attorney clearing ~33% or more of the dough when one finally collects (in 3-4 years). Keeping one’s head together is essential. Sadly, only those who completely “flip out” mentally (might) be expedited onto SSDI/SSI. So lame !

I’m on SSDI for Parkinson’s and several other problems… some that were exasperated due to the system. I fix printers 4-6 hrs a week? (that’s heavy work). It’s Dr. ordered so I run my own business. I gave up on trying to please doctors with the paper masks. Ive gone to the 1/2 mask respirator. I expect them to balk about that. I’m trying to get a laminated card stating that for insurance purposes I’m required to wear it. I take my time to fix them and get to select when I work. The pressure doctors have put me under during this has been so much it starts my tremors if I’m not careful. The Clonazapam has 2 purposes. It’s an anticonvulsant and a tranquilizer.

I’d give one to the doctors that scold me if it would help back them off. I’ve wondered if people on this platform worry about it? All the hype of them. It’s more of a fashion statement anymore.
