Welcome back and I hope you’re feeling much better :hugs:

Thx for the Sabayon assessment. I included it in my last VSO order but haven’t tried it yet. You’ve given me a good reason to open the bottle.

That’s the secret weapon in my mayonnaise base :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:,
1% Sabayon VSO
1% Custard Premium FA
0.5% Buttermilk SC WF

Thank you for the memory jolt, Rocky. I got the RVC in my last BCF order and it totally slipped my mind.

Sam and I were trying to come up with a “panna cotta” for TMA so we broke it down to what it actually consists of… this is good on its own actually but a great stone for anything really. I initially got a little BA from snow cream so I was Leary to use it, but loved it in this mix!

I absolutely adore panna cotta and your recipe looks delicious but as always it seems I’m missing one ingredient! Years ago I was catering a function and made a cocoa cappuccino panna cotta, it was so good. I wonder how that would translate to a mix? Any thoughts?

Definitely an idea. The only thing we couldn’t think of was the gelatin part of the panna cotta. Cocoa cappuccino sounds good. My favorite cocoa is WF, but I’m not a big coffee vaper. The closest to coffee I do is DIYFS Lotta latte or Purilum Caramel coffee w/ sweet milk. Ssa has a mocha cappuccino though that I see people say good things about.

What are you missing for that impossible cotta?

The snow cream, I’ll probably get some this week when I place an order.
The gelatin part would definitely be difficult to nail down in a mix, I have no clue what would work.

It’s definitely a nice flavor. I didn’t like the single flavor, but in a mix .50-1% is good!

Okee dokee then. I took some time to play with my Nomz Whiskey Cream. Here’s a couple. :rose:

I was going to buy the Snow Cream as soon as it came out but people were giving it shade and I backed out. Wish I hadn’t because I don’t have or know of any sweet creams with tones of condensed milk. Sounds useful to me.

As a single flavor is wad too butyric , but probably will mix well .

I definitely threw shade as a single flavor, I got butyric, but in a mix it’s good, just enough vanilla. Pretty creamy and smooth. That recipe was a collab and it was Sam’s idea to use it, but I’m glad we did. Do you need to run out and buy it? Probably not, it’s good in a mix at .5-1%.

I apologize for just getting to this question.

The Caramel is just to boost the rum, I wanted more of a “Captain Morgan” rum vibe, and I wasn’t getting that just with the Jamaican Rum alone. I wanted the caramel to darken the note.

I also wasn’t getting a “boozey” note off the Jamaican Rum alone, even when I pushed it higher, so I used the Butter Rum to help with that, as well as some “spice”. I read through the notes on elr, most people get a decent boozy note from Jamaican Rum, I might just be rum flavor blind.

I haven’t noticed any “muting” to the fruits within the mix, it’s very cranberry forward with a light lime on the back of the tongue and a rum exhale. I am debating removing the cantaloupe however, it was present off the shake, went away at around day 10, then came back again. TBH, this month has been pollen season in North Ga and I’ve been doing a lot of yard work, quite possible my buds aren’t the best atm. I’ve vaped through two thirty mls of this and have really been enjoying it.

New mixer, still learning, I 100% appreciate the question and I’m always open to suggestions. I hope this answered your questions.

I threw plenty of BA shade on it …

Snow Cream (Flavorah) 1% (10-31-23) – OK, after TWO 10/10’s, something had to give, right ? Well it did. Errrr, kinda. You guys decide. I spent a little extra time with this one as it was a little mysterious. Why ?? Well here is how it’s billed from the MFG…

You might not know what this flavor is but it is one you will be thankful for. A blend of vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, and no butyric off-notes. This will be an incredibly versatile/flexible flavor to add to your arsenal that is between an ice cream and a sweet cream style profile.

OK, sounds good, BUT, at even 1%, I WAS getting some BA notes (Butyric Acid). A quick check of the SDS revealed, guess what ?? BA !!! Now, I’m not BA sensitive, BUT some people are, and I’m reporting it, as I find it. The BA was present even at 1%, but not in high quantities, and FLV did a good job of trying to mask it with the Vanilla profile. It presented as a fairly dense/rich cream, but with a lighter cream, like a whipped cream, on the top. There was a consistent Vanilla undertone throughout, that was fairly light, but present. Both the BA notes, and Vanilla notes were light, leaving plenty of uses for this one, and the two aforementioned notes could easily be concealed if needed. Because the underlying cream was fairly rich, it DID have an accompanying thick mouthfeel. Creamy, fairly rich, and thick with a light Vanilla note, AND, some BA. Sweetness was a few ticks below mid-level, and my biggest (and only) nit-pick would BE, the BA notes. Your personal level of BS sens. will dictate more than my words will. I never really got any Condensed Milk, but the “Two Creams for the price of one” stayed consistent throughout my tests. All in, a very creamy rich “two-fer” with a denser rich cream base, and a lighter, almost whipped cream on top, spritzed with a light Vanilla. I’ll have to kick this down a bit, mostly for the whole BA thing, and leaving it solidly at a 7.1/10.

I’m starting to wonder if I actually like flavors that have buytric lol. I need to get the snow cream and try it. The only taste I don’t really like so far is flavors considered to have “egg” taste. Whatever that taste is, it just doesn’t taste good to me.

Also whatever flavor they used to make inw creme brulee taste like beer… I still have that concoction where I tried to cover up that note. It’s been sitting around. I have to try it again. If it still tastes like beer, I’m so done. Again.

A lot of people are sensitive to it. I’m not, but there are a couple I can taste if single flavor but not in a mix. Sometimes it steeps out for people and some stay away from it. I’ve heard it described as baby vomit :face_vomiting:

Yea, you definitely threw more shade :joy: jk jk

Snow Cream 1.5% Flavorah

A mix of sweet cream and homemade whipped cream, full mouthfeel, rather dense, not a sweetened concentrate, but at this %. I get Butyric even with a 7 day steep. Try using between.75-1% if you’re sensitive to BA. I think this would go well in cereal milks, milkshakes, bakery’s. Edit- I don’t get BA in a mix. I’m not sensitive to it, but solo this definitely has that taste. Does great in a mix too thicken up ice creams, etc. I feel like that’s where it’s most useful.
