Favourite winter meal?

Great list, but not really celebration food… Mind you the chicken and dumplings sounds awesome!

What do you put in your chilli recipe?

I celebrate every time one of those warm me up, winter dishes hits my plate or bowl! Excellent list!

It’s different every time, sometimes with chilies sometimes without, sometimes with stewed tomatoes, sometimes without… but there are always beans g

My wife and I are in a heated discussion about our Christmas dinner. She wanted fried tacos, I suggested baked tacos, burritos and tostadas. Now she is threatening to only have burritos and tostadas. So now I will have to sneak the taco shells into the cart.

Ya def gota try it! Use whole milk, butter, sharp cheddar or velveeta cheese, instant mashed potatoes to thicken, garlic, onions, ham, potato, celery, black pepper and a little salt. Yumm

I think I’d go with the following menu
Green Salad with blue chees crumbles, vinegar and oil dressing
Chicken Fried Steak with cream gravy
mashed roated garlic potatoes
steamed Broccoli in butter sauce
fresh homemade yeast rolls and butter

and for dessert
Warm Bread pudding with whiskey sour sauce.

Open the windows he’s gonna blow. lmao

You can always add a can of good old cream of mushroom soup to thicken it as well or just do a roux and thcken with that.

And for that reason it is chili beans as opposed to CHILI
