I have a feeling this time I will. Maybe I’m slower than others but the “art” of mixing is far more visceral than the skill of building and knowing your decks. I think there’s still hope for me, lol.

Hate to tell ya’ I’m a terrible note taker. Always have been. Ever since school when they asked who wants to take the minutes, I could not understand what the f#%k that meant. How do you take a minute? That screwed up my brain forever more about taking notes.
what I am talking about is like this…
try a flavor out to see where you can start to detect a change in your base… make a mark on your note paper there… then find where you can taste it… and where you think it might be too much…
next write down flavors it will go with… or wont… you can add on from there…
Not too hard… your tongue will be the best tool you have to make juices taste the way you want
btw… I hated taking notes in school… I could have been a rock star

Oh no, I caught a cold! I’m pulling out all the stops to keep my schnozzle working. That means nettle 2 x per day with warm salt water plus gargle. Blow out the pipes, the flavors are a coming! Lol
Neti pots work fab @muth and the only way I can breath when I have nose issues…

Both of those sound great but I have nothing in the menthol or mint range. Good news, I still have my sense of smell/taste. My version of a Neti Pot is a baby mucous bulb with warm salt water. I just shoot that salty water right up one nostril and out the other, lol.

@authormichellehughes I’m working on the caramel custard. I added 1% Caramel (FLV) 1% Butterscotch (FLV) and I hope I don’t regret this …0.6% Butter Rum (LA).That stuff smells like airplane glue! A couple of people recommended it to compliment Butterscotch (FLV). I’m keeping the cap off for awhile.
There goes your flavor molecules… yeps I went there… Sorry!! Maybe it is just me, but I dont find that the butterscotch needs much help… if I want it more buttery I add in some popcorn as it is more butter than actual popcorn… and a 1% of each cream and butterscotch should steep up within 5 days… cap on…
Never used Butter Rum lol so wouldn’t have a clue on that one. Everyone keeps telling me to throw in butterscotch ripple FW for that …
Alright, so I put the cap back on. It wasn’t that long. I never uncap anything but that BR has VOC. The Caramel was already sitting in there since 12/13.
I have that but the custard is so thick and creamy I thought that some VOC would cut through, lol. I really hope I don’t regret it. Thank heavens I used less than the usual percentages. It was Mofogger and Amy who left those notes. Please, please, I hope this doesn’t get screwed up. I over did a caramel/butterscotch in the past and it was awful. I think I’m afraid of the stuff ('cept when I’m eating it).
