Fix My Mix - Bring your trouble recipes here!

I do have a tenancy to mix so low I have to hunt for the flavor… some of the juices I love are like that… and if I did not know the recipe myself… it would be super hard.

The one thing I do like tho, is when I mix, I try to think if someone cloned it, could they… it really does help to keep my tongue working right.

I got my flavors and decided to go with almost 1% Bourbon (FLV) and 2% KB (TFA). I liked the smell of them! They went into a custard that has Madagascar Vanilla (FA) in it. Steep time?

Since it’s my moms favorite I can tell you she barely waits a day to start vaping it and loves it that way. She’s never let a bottle steep longer than a week before I have to mix it again for her. My mix also has sugar cookie V2 and sweet cream in it …

Just a thought, but if it’s a favorite of hers why don’t you mix a batch of bottles for her so she has the time to let at least some bottles steep. That way she can enjoy a well steeped custard. Mixing when juice is needed is not ideal for custards, they always get better over time.
If she vapes a bottle a week, you ought to mix new juice when she’s got 6 bottles left in stock.

Honestly I didn’t think about it, and it’s actually the only juice she vapes. It gives me an excuse to mix every week and gets me off my butt.

So why does that have to change? Mix your bottle for her every week, but make sure you mix 7 bottles in your next session, then again 1 bottle every week. That way she has steeped juice in 6 weeks time and every next bottle she takes is properly steeped.

I could definitely do that. I don’t know why I never thought of it, maybe because she loves it how it is LOL

Every custard is better after a steep so I’m sure she’s going to like it steeped too.

I’ve been thinking a lot about custard recently and remember cap v1 being eggy at one time and how in recent years it isn’t that eggy at all to me. Had the realization that I brought that flavor down from 6% to 3% and maybe that’s why the what egg was there disappeared. Time for another test.

Taste buds and flavors reformulate over time.
Play around, you might be surprised.

Solos, steeping, coils and cotton… yeah… but who knows until you actually try anything.

As far as steeping… there is a difference between fresh and steeped juice.

Especially since it’s for your mom… she cared for you for so long and has gone through great efforts to make everything as good as possible for you. I can understand some people making juice and handing it over/selling it to just any tom dick and harry, but I’d think you’d want your mom to have the best possible quality.
At least let her try it steeped and let her compare it with a bottle of fresh juice to see what she likes best.

I am in the same boat. Reduced it a little, but I get less egg, and can actually use it now. Reductions weren’t that much, so maybe my tastes ?

Well, I learned a lot just from reading all of your above posts.

I also have a cookie in mine. The cream is Aged Bourbon Cream (RF SC). Have to admit all 3 of those flavors will be new ones for me…the 2 bourbons and ABCream. Oh right, and I have some coconut in there, too. I usually add coconut to my custards. At least for now. Who knows what the future may hold. I think I’m finally branching out. Thx for the help. And that’s a ditto for everyone here.

What size bottles are you mixing for her?

I’m getting ideas for new custards just from having these conversations. I’m psyched!
