Flavourart still makes me happy

I know it’s not an ultra concentrate, but I still love Flavourart because they are so easy to mix with and well I’ve been working with them for years and know what they can do. My reason for mixing has always been: 1) to make great flavors for me and my family, but 2) also to help beginners because I remember what it was like having no clue what I was doing and trying to figure all this out. So while I’ll definitely be trying the ultras out, when it comes to beginning mixing I’m probably going to stick with what I know is easy for them, Flavourart.

I think mixers that are beyond beginning mixes have a GREAT tutorial system in place with folks like Smoky, Simon, and the crew and really don’t need me. The people I really want to help are beginners who are still in that place where flavors might not be prominent for them. I think there’s a reason why people that enjoy my recipes find more flavor in them and enjoy the sweeter side because they are coming off store-bought juices. Obviously there are people who won’t like my mixes because they have passed the need of wanting more store like bought juices. I’ve seen this happen with a lot of mixers over the years. You folks carry the torch for those moving to the next level and I’ll support you with everything I have.

I also think this might be the reason that some people don’t like Wayne’s mixes anymore while other’s do. There’s a place in our DIY world for all types of mixers, and I personally want everyone to be happy. This makes me happy. Much love and respect for everyone. Do what you love, love what you do, and in the end if you’re staying off cigarettes, to me that’s all that really matters.

Best thing you can do, is be yourself, keep learning and understand your flavors, Michelle.
Your body always changes, and you need to recognize it and know what to do when that happens…

I think once you can taste your solos… all of this will click and your usage rates will come down. This is what really needs to be understood. Even from a very “green” newbie… they need to understand this as well. The rda has been shipped off… stuff some cotton in it, get it wet and suck it :stuck_out_tongue:

Excuse me, where do you think shop juice comes from? Certainly not from a magical land where everything is sugar plums and dancing fairies… :stuck_out_tongue:

*Note only because I do consider you a friend, and this is friendly advice keep your clouds coming.

No offense was meant at all from this post. I respect tremendously what you do. And of course I know it doesn’t come from magical land LOL but I do believe the majority of store bought juices are sweeter and they either get that way from adding sweeteners or blending very sweet flavors and a lot of people switching from store bought to DIY have proven that’s what they are missing in DIY from discussions we’ve seen here on the boards. I consider you a friend too, and basically what I’m saying here is I’m staying in my lane with helping new mixers and not attempting to teach people how to do advanced mixes. That’s your wheelhouse…

Do you consider me a friend, even though I nip at your ankles all the time and have never tried FLV?

Michelle… check it out… just because I do not use any sweetener in my juice… at least posted public recipes… does not mean I am advanced. It means tinker with what I have, if anyone so wishes… dump a ton of sweetener in it, or leave it out… it really is up to the individual.

@woftam has it correct, if you are going to teach anyone… try your amount in a cup of water… see what you think… too sweet or not enough??

I have it right… start low and work up…

too much sweetener hides flavors… I dont want mine hidden…

too much flavor deadens the taste buds…

if what you are saying is that you dont care what flavors are in your juice, as long as it is so sweet… and you want to continue that way… keep on… but… if you do care… then learn how to do it right, so you can and will teach others… Im not going to be around forever… someone else will have to pick up and pass it on too…

this is what I am saying and why I do what I do… xoxo

I tried that testing method in water once … without sweetener LOL I wouldn’t drink it. Seriously. I want to taste my flavors but I also want them sweet. Think I saw some video once where a guy testing all his flavors in water. Putting it in perspective… I don’t like lemon lime in a water drink without splenda… so that might explain it better

That’s something it takes a long time to comprehend, and it’s really important. So many of us, maybe even all of us, go/went into this DIY mixing thing not only to save $$, but also to develop our own good flavors. In so many aspects, more is good, but it just isn’t true in e-juices. Yes there are some weak concentrates that do require high percentages, but so many mistakes are made thinking more is better, when the result is over-powered mixes that fail to satisfy and confound our minds with “why”? Understanding that is one thing that does make you an expert mixer, smok-a-rama.

and… this works for not only flv… but every single company out there…

if you work your solos on a monthly basis, and take notes as to where you taste… and continue… then you have something to work with.

I have people coming to me in amazement telling me how they were about to lower their juices…
I also have people with dead taste buds, tell me they are amazing that they can taste strawberry or apple or what ever flavor of flavor blindness that was going on, they have the start of something special…

it works.

Did you put 1% sweetener or sweetness or what ever flavor of sweetner in to the water? you only need a shot glass… 1ounce… just like for juices…

I can promise… Michelle, if you do it right, you will be surprised…

The arrogance and better than thou attitude on this forum by some has chased a few away, good to see an approach as yours. Keep up the good work and enjoy your calling. Hey I’ve only been a forum member for 181 days, LOL

and look at it this way…

if you are teaching folks to add sweetener every single time… they have a risk of becoming blind to it, and I know you do not want that either. there are more additives you can try, like bitter, sour, tart, tangy… and overusing sweetener, will lower all those beautiful additives. Additives do not make the juice, the flavors do… and when you are not in balanced and are teaching others… your bad habits become theirs. Im not straightening folks out any longer… my attitude is do as you wish. I cant stop you, I can enlighten you as to what is happening and when.

No I know what you mean, David… I do…

and sometimes text can be mistaken or taken wrong… I just like giving Michelle a hard time… “at times” so she can think outside the box she likes to pull out every now and then :stuck_out_tongue: Trust me, I think she is good people and can take what I say the way I mean it  just one of my vape sisters…

Welcome to the forum. I think you’ll find I’m the least arrogant person you’ll ever meet. I doubt myself constantly and am always asking questions and I’ve been mixing since 2015. There are many folks that do it better than me. Really nice to meet you, David. Hope you have a great time here, I have over the years. I watched HIC for years and he (she) really tuned me into FlavourArt and it’s hard to break that habit because once you learn how to use a certain company it really makes it easy to become hooked on a certain one. I still use a few from Cap (vanilla custard and sugar cookie) which I can’t live without. They are staples for me.

believe it or not… I have newbies mixing faster with flv than I do mixers with experience, Michelle…
I do not know why that is, only that they come with less hang ups :stuck_out_tongue: My only guess and I could be so wrong about that :stuck_out_tongue:
