FLAVRZ Flavors Reviewed by SessionDrummer -- TESTING NOW!

Seriously, you’ve never had a rum and raisin ice cream? They’re to die for. Up here in :canada: I can only get it from one manufacturer half an hour away.

We get the real stuff easily here. Even get generic “supermarket brands” selling it…

I seem to be one of those odd balls that actually enjoyed TFA raisin although initially I certainly didn’t. I SFT it @10% and thought it tasted of a weak licorice with a weird alcohol lurking and forgot about it.
However I returned to the same bottle a few months later and thoroughly enjoyed it not tasting anything like I did previously?

As mentioned odd ball.

Hehe no, I have to admit something, I tried a raisin flavor a LONG time ago, and it was TERRIBLE, and it SCARED ME OFF, completely of any/all raisin flavors. Not completely in RL, but in vaping it did. The FLAVRZ Rum and Raisin may not be the BEST raisin out there, BUT, it kind of made me re-think my FEAR of the raisin. I actually DO now want to try that ice cream, hehe.

Mmmm @marsh8 I love those so much I remixed the original VT eliquid version.

McDuckies VT Raspberry Bullets

Chocolate Base (Clear) (VTA) 2.50
Dark Chocolate (VTA) 1.00
Red Soft Candy (VTA) 6.00
Sweet Mate (VTA) 0.50
Sweet Raspberry (VTA) 1.50
Swiss Chocolate (VTA) 1.50

Sweet raspberry jelly candies surrounded with rich milk chocolate. The VT Red soft candy are exactly the flavor I needed for this soft raspberry jelly candies (just like the old penny candy that look like a red gumdrop) and because I wanted the raspberry to really stand out I added VT Sweet Raspberry to boast the flavor. Then for my VT Milk Chocolate trilogy of course Vt Chocolate Base Clear, Dark Chocolate and VT Swiss Chocolate with a bit of VT Sweet Mate to sweeten everything up.

@McDuckie what is Sweet Mate ?

Sweet Mate (AKA Sugar Mate) is Vape Train’s Sucralose based sweetener basically its similar to FW Sweetener. Not to be confused with VTA Sugar Cane which to me is more of a sweet simple syrup (corn syrup). FW would be the best sub.

I’d just like to say that a lot of my VT recipes are just fun recipes that I created to test my skills and have fun. I typically mix up 5-10ml to try it and then move on. Not really ADV style recipes in my opinion, unless you are into vaping candies and weird Starbucks coffees and such. They are just for fun. Most of my successful projects use flavors from multiple flavor houses.

I actually got some anise of the VT Red Soft Candy when I SFTd it, so that looks like it would work, Swiss Chocolate is one I picked up that I never used, the Dark Chocolate was always a goto for me.

When I first got the the Swiss chocolate and SFTed it I got Swiss Miss powdered cocoa. I thought of doing a milky hot cocoa but I never figured out hot to give it a hot/warm feeling.

I have never used Heat (Flavorah), but would that work?

I tried FLV Heat it may have worked if I was going for a Mexican hot cocoa. I got no heat but more of a slight cinnamon note. I tried with VT Chocolate Chili but that was just dark chocolate and chili pepper. Mmmm

I love spicy peppers, but VT Chocolate Chili just doesn’t sound appealing. I will have to look at the reviews.

Tasted like this

Watermelon (FLAVRZ) 8% (6-1-23) – I could tell the moment I tasted this one, something was up. It didn’t smell like a full on watermelon, and it didn’t taste like one either. What it DID taste like, was more of a Watermelon crossed with one or more other melons. At 8% it was middling strong, and not in your face in any way. At first I thought maybe I was getting some rind from it, and further testing seemed to prove that to be true. Now while it wasn’t a bad flavor, it never really took off as a juicy red watermelon, but stayed more in the medley camp. It was fairly fresh, and had good juicy notes, and nothing off-putting, or floral I personally would have preferred a much more juicy red focused approach to it. Not every one can be a winner, right ? All in, for a “Some watermelon, and some of these other melons” not too shabby, but as a solo watermelon, it left things a little lacking. It was an interesting vape, and I had polished off two testers before I knew it. It felt fairly placed a little lower, and at a 6.0/10

This makes me want to try it more than if you rated it a 10. I have never been a fan of watermelon vapes they were never right for me. But was it the flavour I was expecting and not getting?

I’m assuming also Aussie ones are different (better):laughing:

Considering the… don’t know how to put it… debate that’s been going on around here I was a little reluctant to start listing my opinions on the Flavrz concentrates that I received. I don’t want to get involved in the back and forth of that as life’s too short and I agree with what was stated by others in that these are only flavours. I only say opinions as I honestly don’t consider my few words as reviews, literally just my own humble and stumble opinions. Others may well differ and they probably will but I can only say what I think which I will do so with complete honesty.
As above I have no inclination to defend or attack anyone as I am merely a vapour who has gleaned knowledge from this forum and feel inclined to give a bit back if possible. All I will say is that in my opinion @SessionDrummer must spend an awful lot of time doing what he does but that doesn’t mean that my thoughts on a flavour are going to agree with his. Personally I take reviews on vendors website with a pinch of salt but have always believed what I read here.

That being said and for the sake of transparency I thought I would make a note stating if I actually paid for a particular flavour or not as I did pay for the vast majority of what I have but did receive a few freebies as used to be the case with a couple of vendors anyway. On another note I am hoping that I will enjoy most if not all of these due to the reported shit storm that’s about to hit Australia and the possibility that Flavrz can continue to trade to vapers. Subconsciously this may play a part in my thought process but I’m going to try and take a subjective view.

Another transparency issue is that I was in a private conversation with @Jetz a few weeks ago but that conversation was over a completely different matter which has absolutely nothing to do with any opinions I shall share on here.

Another point probably worth mentioning is the possibility that I stuffed up my percentages as to be honest I found that aspect a little confusing.

A bit of a heavy preamble and I apologise for that.

As did I, but even at the “correct” percentages they still didn’t work for me. Not blaming the flavours as I have had a lot of highly recommended concentrates from many different companies fall short for me… It is what it is. :man_shrugging:

I am planning on trying some of the flavours mtl but need to dig out my mtl rda as don’t want to use a tank to test. I have always found mtl to differ with flavours - what works in DTL for me doesn’t work always in MTL. I am probably 75%+ mtl usage. I feel your pain - my constant mtl for almost 10 years has been net tobaccos and vampire vape Heisenberg with occasional diy fruit or liquorice recipes. Not many diy recipes have satisfied me mtl so hoping to find something that does and maybe even replace Heisenberg - I have enough one shots of it to last me a few years but want to replace it with what is about to happen to us in Aus. I recently bought a sh£tload of net concentrates from uk just in case - glad I did.

Out of interest what do you normally vape liquid wise?

Ok and here I go so without further ado I’m currently vaping Flavrz Virginia Tobacco (Premium) which I mixed @13% and it’s been steeping for 13 days.
This one was paid for with my own money.

To start with I need to say that I enjoy tobaccos and would go as far as to say they’re still my favourite. I always have at least one ready to go and have tried many, including making my own NETS. When I first tried vaping I wasn’t the least bit interested in using anything other than tobaccos obviously in an attempt to stop smoking but as time progressed needless to say that changed. My benchmark is FA as I like the vast majority of theirs and I also enjoy Hiliqs.

This one is a Virginia tobacco and I enjoy it but it doesn’t have the depth of flavour that I look for. As mentioned I mixed @13% and perhaps it’s one that needed to be lower as suggested but personally I just don’t think so. I do enjoy a deep tobacco and although I’m no tobacco expert I think Virginia is supposed to be sweet and this one does deliver on the sweetness with I believe a little too much for me. It’s unmistakably a tobacco and enjoyable but overall it’s just not one that I’d reach for at first choice. When I smoked I just bought the same loose tobacco for many years so I don’t know why I try so many tobacco concentrates when I have enough to keep me satisfied but ultimately I suppose it’s just that accursed rabbit hole. If I hadn’t tried so many perhaps I’d be very satisfied but that’s just not the case.

To summarise this is an acceptable Virginia type tobacco but lacks that wow factor for me at this percentage anyway. It’s one I could experiment with at different percentages and will try with another tobacco but as I’m vaping it now I wouldn’t buy it again and rate it at 5/10.
