Those can be messy but vape really great. They’re top notch in my book. I’ve tried lots of different coils in mine. My favorite coil is either a N80 or SS 3x28/38 alien coil, 5 or 6 wraps around a 3mm jig. When wicking it, have the tails just touching the bottom of the deck.
By messy I mean it weeps a bit around the AFC ring. Also if I try fill it when it has juice in it, it wants to leak badly. I fill it up when it’s empty or almost empty. You’ll love it I’m sure though because they’re top of the line vape wise.
I can’t believe I bought two of them from Element Vape for $45 per. That’s how much I like them though. I scored 3 more from Everzon right when they dropped the price to $16 or $18, I don’t remember.
I forgot to mention I have no interest in the chamber reducer or whatever other stuff is included. Without that stuff it’s a pretty open DL vape. I use the airflow to dial it in to where I like it. Wide open is a lot of air.

My take on the 1.5 is downsized. Single coiling, reduction in airflow, including air plugs, simplicity for newer builders, and an absolute focusing on flavor.
It’s like the opposite of a big, heavy, cloud chucker, as it steps everything way down, to simplicity, for a restricted direct lung, or MTL vape. Focus is more on accuracy, and flavor, and less on clouding, and/or jumbo mega coiling. A VERY worthy SteamCrave for ANY collection IMO.
I agree wiith @SessionDrummer there. Easy to coil and wick, and the flavour I got is always great. No juice control like other steam crave, though. And doesn’t work well as mtl. I prefer restricted dtl, so it’s just right for me.
If you’ve got multiple versions of SteamCraves, it can be interesting to start out with the very old ones, and vape your way up to the more modern ones, and note the differences between them, as you move up the line. The one thing that STILL surprises me, is how damned good the flavor is/was/still is, on the V.1. OLDEST one they’ve ever made (just not the three screw deck, always use the Velocity deck), and I have never stopped using it for most of my critical testing. No juice flow, no airflow (minus the rubber band ring that is), and it’s a bottom filler at that, and I can’t stop using it.
I’m afraid I’m not a big fan of the Lite. For me it was weak compared to all the others before it and since. I know it had a fairly good following, but it really wasn’t for me. Too…umm…lite and lackiing the Aromamizer flavor that Steam Crave is known for. Compared to other non-SC RTA’s it compares well. Maybe you’ll have better luck with yours. Hope so.

When I first started vaping I had a UD Goliath and after a while I Grabbed the Aromamizer and was in Love and then I got the Squonk Mod when squonking wasn’t even close to being liked in the States. I loved SteamCrave ever since but never really could afford much of their gear and I still cant. It is a rarety when you see their stuff on sale.

I’ve had nothing but problems with the Reuleaux line. They’ve all had erratic functionality after a few months and after tearing them apart found the lot of them chock full of cold solder joints. Actually had one start to burn the board.
