well, i’m pisssed now. i have 2 good coils in it, they fired fine, but were to high, so i took em out and reset em, now one is a real lager and no matter what i do it will not pick up. Baaaaaah

Do you have a coil guage? Cut the tails the same. First measure the depth of the post. Reinsert the coils and tighten the set screw’s. Fire at low wattage to see if they are firing evenly. Remove hot spots. Rewick and prime.

the post depth is infinite. i put the coils in evenly both sides.
i never did get it just right, but when i kicked up the wattage they fired more evenly = call it good. waiting on the wicks to soak. 50/50 this is going to leak = just checked, its pissing out. GD it. this is why i put the fucker away in the first place.

Ah! that’s the video I needed I had the coil right over the bottom airflow. She has it higher up. Going to redo and see how it goes. Thank you so much!

Retap the same hole. Maybe add a little larger set screw. If you striped the screw try rethreading.

Seems like I always had to fiddle faddle around with the older tanks. Sorry, that sucks. When they behave they are phenomenal. The newer tanks are so much better.

nothing is stripped. the hole the legs goes in has no bottom.

2 years ago i put it away bacause of leaking, but i was new. now, i thought i had to much rayon down there, nope. good thing they made the newer ones better, otherwise they would be out of business.

I just fluff the you-know-what out of the wicks then let them sit on that first ledge from the top of the juice well to dam it up. No leaks and wicks like a dream.
