Very nice. I like those retail stores. Like a big house, each room setup with different gear for you to sit there and listen/watch as long as you want. Switches to seamlessly swap from one pair to another. Cable swaps (are you kidding me) I could never hear a difference.
Hahaha, you mean audio jewelry I couldnât tell the difference either aside from them looking cool.
Edit: that reminded me of the huge monstrosities my friend had, I only wound up with these speaker cables when he moved and the first time out if the box in years.
Never hooked them up myself, figure they would be a beast to wrangle
those are just nuts. do you have the stands for them
Lol, to think they make stands for cables is crazyâŚlooking for a sale on ceramic cable stands now
My friend asked me if I am going to use these cables, I told him hell no, they are so heavy they would probably pull the binding posts off my speakers!
oh, the ceramic stands = you fancy
yeah, that is crazy, isnât it. there are âfansâ and then there are âfanaticsâ, a fool and his money.
hey do you have any of those 1" power cables
My favorite audio snake oil was the Shun Mook discs, I think that was the name. A friend went to an audio show and he said he went into the Shun Mook room and the guy had him listen to speakers, then put the discs on top of both speakers and listen again. My friend said they guy looked at him like wow, are you blown away? My friend said nope, sounds the same to me
The most impressive setup I ever heard was at the Newport Beach audio show, they setup a $300k dream home theater. Wilson Audio speakers for all channels with a pair of Wilson Audioâs huge dual 18" ported subs. Krell mono blocks for all channels that were huge and a Theta Casablanca prepro. I think they actually had cable stands too lol. When they played the T-rex scene from Jurassic Park you could feel the bass in your bones, that started my bass obsession.
Iâm sorry to have to tell you this, but it looks like someone Pâd in your tank sir.
Sounds like a litmus test for determining âsucker-abilityâ.

âCan you hear the difference?!!â

i had never seen those, i guess i was to blue-collar rabble to be told about them, lol. but guess what, they are still a thing.

i think wire stands are the biggest BS to me. oh wait, the CD rim things, jeez.
do you have a green CD marker
i met my wife in 92, her dad bought Stereo Review mags, he was a BIG Bose guy, lol. anyway, thats when i discovered Pro-Logic, and i had the money to indulge, so i did. anyway. i found out about the Consumer Electronics show, down town Shitcago. there was some BIG money auddio there. sadly, i didnât get to listen much, to many people, but i did get some free wire terminals . i have photos somewhere.
i was born with Hi-Fi in my blood < fact.
Iâve looked at the Trantor so many times. I donât know why Iâve never gotten it.
for $10 each, and that included shipping , they were a steal !
you must not have been around here not long ago. they, and many others, were all over this place.
Saw that 3F had the Moonshot on clearance for 7.00 and thought to get one when I remembered I had one already.
Forgot what PITA it was to build on.
You dog, makes me thirsty lol. My brother has Bootleggers Golden Chaos on tap at his house, try to visit often. I picked up some Bootleggers Knuckle Sandwich DIPA today to give it a shot tonight.
