Great card Rocky.
That’s what happened to me 48 years ago. The rest is a blur.
How could I have missed this whole thread? So sorry @Rocky02852, @Josephine_van_Rijn and their lovely dog but I’m glad that you each had a happy birthday and I will do my best not to miss it next year.
Don’t worry about it. I missed it myself two years ago.
That’s fine if you just missed it; it you miss what was going on would be more worrisome.
@Josephine_van_Rijn that’s a beautiful dog you have there and very similar looking to my boy Boo and he is a chocolate Labrador.
I love Labradors. Mine is pretty quirky, especially when we’re out for a walk.
She either thinks that she has figured out the way home while she’s pointing in the wrong direction, or she just stops walking all together.
It doesn’t matter which way I turn, she won’t move.
Fortunately for her I’ve got all the time in the world and It is her walk.
I can coax her into doing what I want. It just takes a little more time.
She doesn’t react well to impatience or force.
Neither do I. Do not do unto others…
I got her when she was nine weeks old. You could say I proactively rescued her from terrorisation from some jerk who has 10 minutes before he has to piss off to work.
Something else she wouldn’t be able to handle.
I can leave her alone at home, but not all day long. If I leave her somewhere else she starts screaming as soon as I walk away.
She won’t set a foot outside the house without me.
It’s a two way street. I feel completely miserable without her.
It seems like you were made for each other just like my Booza and I. Boo has some strange quirks too like he is afraid of going up steps and stairs and will do a strange dance before jumping up from the side of a flight of steps a bit like a rugby union player when he is about to take a kick over the posts for a conversion, it’s like he has to size them up first. We have had his eyes checked by the vet and they are fine and he hasn’t fell since we had him from a puppy, he has no problems going down though. He won’t come up the stairs if I call him and I have to go down and say “ready, steady GO and then he up he goes. They are a very intelligent breed, sometimes too much for their own good
Wow, late to this party for sure. Happy Birthday Rockey!!! Belated as it is.
I want one of these for my birthday too!! I love vanilla frosting.
