I personally avoid rayon. It’s a polymer and prone to out gassing some nasty stuff. Might not be enough to hurt you, but being in plastics my whole life I’m a little more paranoid than most.
Nedless to say … do we trust in Chinese “natural” cotton :-))) And no reason to compare Rayon with “plastic” … it is NOT
RDTA’s… those long cotton wicks… how fast do they absorb the liquid?
The Apepal I have takes an age to get liquid even if the cotton is raked straight, it has to travel up, not good imo.
Weird how there isn’t an RDTA with liquid that travels down… its more logical…
Don’t really want to derail a cotton thread with a cotton vs rayon debate. But using either may not be safe. Just not enough info out there to prove one way or another.
On one you have one of the most chemically treated cash crop there is.
The other using chemicals that are deadly when producing it but the finished product has all those chemicals removed.
I prefer rayon and use it exclusively. But there are some cottons that I plan on trying. I will take the health risk over cigs any day.
Me too … actually I used a blend of both - Cotton blend, I like that one
I wear a goatee year round. Sometimes I get a little lazy about trimming up my mustache and such. I’m actually thinking about saving my mustache trimmings.
When I take a good juicy vape nothing wicks as fast as my mustache. If ya know what I’m saying ladies.
Ok I’m only joking please don’t get offended.
Yes, yes when I’m manscaping as I’m frequently doing, my preference is to do it on Tuesdays. Roll up my pubic hairs to wick my new Tsunami, I find the flavour to be oily at first, but once you finish throwing up, I settle down and enjoy the billowy clouds.
You are one sick puppy.
Rayon is a wood pulp infused with a polymer. Polymers are plastics. I’ve been a plastics technologist for 40+ years now. Polymers out gas nasty things when heated. Cotton is going to depend on how honorable the manufacturer is as to what it might contain. Either are going to be better than an analog.
The chemicals aren’t removed from the Rayon, they are components that makes it stable. Except for the formaldehyde, which is from the processing of the wood pulp.
