How to add a Pic in notes when posting a recipe...?

Not sure where to ask this. Anyway, I noticed that some recipes have a picture in the Notes. How can I add a pic in my notes when posting a recipe? Can I just use an html img tag with url to pic? Will that work, or do I have to upload it?

Thanks

Upload a picture onto imgur.com and then copy the direct link and paste it on its own line in your notes.

Ok, cool, yeah, I have a web site so I can host the image there then. Just wasn’t sure if that would work or not. Thanks

not working for me :rage:

Did you choose " direct link" from the drop down menu?

@VapeyMama

Well, @Steve-o_54 is correct. This does NOT work. I tried just adding the URL, and then the URL to image in HTML tags/code, and also in forum code. No image at all. There IS a way, because others have images added to the description. Anyone??? Please help…

From Imgur (I have no idea if other sites work), you have to select the “direct link” from the dropdown menu.

Did you try that? I have pictures on several of my recipes and that works for me every time.

Yes, I make websites from scratch, I know what I’m doing. It just doesn’t work. You have pics on your recipes here?

Yeah several. I really know basically nothing about all that…lol! I just know doing it that way with imgur works for mine.

I put this:

And it turns to this once it’s saved:

Then looks like this when I share the recipe here:

@daath any help you can give? Does it have to be an imgur link?

OK, I just tried it again and I got it to work, both with hosting from imgur and my website as well. I don’t know why it didn’t work earlier from my computer, but I got it to work when I did it on my iphone. Weird, but it worked…lol

Thank You for your help.

Good! Glad you got it to work.

I tried to use Imgur and noticed there is no longer a “direct link” option. VapeyMama looks to be using her cell phone, and perhaps it’s different for those of us who use a laptop. Since there was no option for “direct link” I chose the BBC Forum code, and stripped out the IMG tags. The KEY is having the URL with the http://i.imgur.com

@Moto_Bob I do a lot of web design as well, and don’t know what embed code he’s got hooked into the site here. Clearly some syntax works on the forums, but on the site/recipies, at least if you use imgur, it’s got to have the proceeding i in the URL i.e. http://i.imgurl.com

@SessionDrummer, Yeah, I don’t know either. But I got it to work, so its all good. I don’t know what, but I musta did something wrong the first few times I tried it. Over thinking it maybe…LOL. But I it works now even when hosting from one of my sites, so thats all that matters.

Thanks
