I literally broke my leg in 4 places

Keep trying, if it means sitting on hold for 2 hours so be it, you need a source of income and the government has funding available for all and you’re especially qualified for some for of reparation as you’ve been paying into it (hopefully) since you turned 18.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult, even before covid… I was unable to work, had a doctor’s note, a note from a Nephrologist and Urologist and a letter from my shrink that I wasn’t fit for work due to my ailments. But because of our Premier’s take on disability, they wanted me to use up my EI and then later my CERB (because you know, it has to be paid back) and then they’d get me back on disability for the 2nd time which I was able to use up my Medical EI and CERB at the same time, which was quite a bit of money a month, more so than other people on standard payments. But again, you have to pay it back… Now I’m on straight AISH which is 1600 and change and with that I have to pay 1169 rent, 300 in bills and whatever else for groceries… Mother is nice enough to stock me up and I’ve been selling a lot of stuff I’ve acquired over the years to get extra spending money, but it’s doable… It’ll be easier as well having a husband living with you if he is able to work… Gonna be tough for the next little while though.

Physiotherapy? Nah they just took my half cast off and pulled staples and stitches out and sent me on my way…pictures are.coming when I get.home… I can’t believe how quick that was…I’m so confused rn. But he said 6 months to 1 year healing time but leaves me with no cast told me I can start putting weight on it but start by moving my foot around.

Have they set you up with a physical therapist? Their job is to get you going on that leg at a safe rate.

Nope no therapist nothing just Start by moving my foot I had a metal rod inserted in my chin all the way down to my foot and metal pins in idk where else he also said “I broke my leg pretty bad.” It still looks so broken look at those bumps…that’s where it broke

It does look a lot better but looks can be deceiving.
I know nothing about such treatment but going from what’s been said on here and from people I’ve known who’ve broken legs etc perhaps you should enquire about further treatment.
Good luck with everything.

I have a shower seat for now and a wash on a attached metal hook

The reason I wasn’t given a cast is because I have a metal rod and pins holding my bones together. That’s my thought.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!! I have been, trying to stay off of it but it’s harder than you think to walk on one foot when your not used to it. So nope I HAVE NOT BEEN STAYING OFF IT!!

‘Weight on’ is in regard to light walking. This will help the muscles and tendons to recover after being immobilised for a bit. Keeping them strong will also help the bones to knit back together better: Your calves, hips and back take most of the strain when walking. So you can walk, just try to avoid joining a shin kicking championship.

The real Olympics.

My bones won’t knit back together I have rods and pins in place of the bones. That’s what I think anyway. That’s why I have no cast on…

Check out the blister on me from the half cast. It hurts and my foot is so swollen

It looks better then the pics before. I hope it heals well.

May not be healing as fast as you’d like, but it is healing. Looks much better than before.

I agree with the above @ladycrooks.
It’s easy for us to say how much better it looks as your obviously suffering but it truly does appear a lot better.

Best of luck with a continued recovery.

I get worse blisters with new shoes. But my ogre feet, with collapsing arches and opposable toes make my consultants excited.
