I ordered the Aegis L300, it didn't even arrive yet and I'm returning it for another L200

Update: after finding out the Aegis Legend 3 has a “smart” lock, with no way to lock the fire button, I’ve decided to return it upon arrival and just buy another L200.

I’ve been using my geek vape aegis 2 for a couple years now. It goes everywhere with me and you can tell.

I actually really enjoy the worn down aesthetic, and this thing really is built tough! I’m very, very pleased with the quality of this vape. One of the very last things I’ve used that’s actually built to last anymore. Especially for the way I abuse this thing. Camping, hiking, working, biking, skating ect. Hoping it will last for more years to come. I’m definitely gonna still be using it, but I’ve just ordered the aegis 3 box mod to upgrade.

I have also two Arbiter 2 RTAs I’ve been using for the past couple years. I love these things. I only ever put one coil in because that’s what works best for me. One tank is for fruit and other for creams and bakerys.

I’m just wondering if there is something better than the Arbiter 2 out there now?

The one in the photos is actually the ageis 2 lol

I read some comments about the ageis 3, and people were saying its actually built a little more sturdy than aegis 2. I guess I will be the one to decide if thats true! I initially bought this to replace my Valeryian 3 after it just randomly just stopped supplying enough power to the atomizer. It was giving me completely tasteless hits no matter what. As soon as I screwed on the same atomizer to the ageis 2, the problem was solved. The rest is history.

Why did I quote that?! Ha! My bad. I also ran the 2 for years. I upgraded recently to the T-200.

The blaze duel I’ve been using very similar to the arbiter2 both similar to the intake duel all from the same stable not that helps much but the blaze does do a single Vaperz cloud do the Osiris mini and a 30 mm @SessionDrummer has done a reveiw on this I’ve been on a rda kick lately so I’ve lost track on the new tanks

Hey, I just remembered also I have these really thick exotic coils that won’t fit into the deck of my arbiter 2. It would be nice to find an RTA with holes big enough to accommodate these coils. They look badass. I ordered them and never got a chance to find out how they perform. They’re Mohawk aliens from coil clout.

i put big 4mm juggernaught coils in my kylin mini v2 and there is still space, I think Mini is a misnomer

it seems to work best with large coils and its a good rta

Right now I’m eyeing the dead rabbit v3 RTA, it looks like the deck holes could accommodate these coils. I’m seeing people say it’s got good flavor as well… If there anyone here who’s personally used one, thoughts?

That one looks like it would be good too. Does it get hot quick? Or I wonder if the flavor is any better because it’s more compact? I chain vape like crazy sometimes, and now that I think of it I wonder how much of a difference it makes being single vs dual coil.

I’m a Geek Vape fan. OK, that’s out of the way.
Built better? It’s supposed to be a little better in water and dust resistant. Never tested it to find out. It’s a couple of hairs shorter and about 4mm in width smaller. The max without overhang is a 24mm based tank. The depth is smaller too. By making it smaller it fits comfortably in your hand. Buttons are no longer painted they are anodized. Outside frame still looks powder coated. The screen on the 3 is larger than the 2. It runs the full length between the fire button and the up down button. It’s also as wide as the mod making the display about two mm’s larger. My Hell Vape 1 RTA sits the full width of the mod without over hang. The 510 sits center. Battery door has the same slide lock as all geek vape mods. Once you get used to the smaller size you’ll love it if you don’t have a larger RTA base than 24mm. Dam thing is like the enigser bunny they keep running and running.

Since we’re talking new box mods I’m in the market for something new also. I checked out a few vendors that I’ve ordered from in the past but haven’t really kept up on the current technology. Yeah, I’m kind of slow catching up on things but I was surprised just how many disposables are for sale now. That and those boro boxes. I will admit the clueless fairy hit me hard when I saw those. What the hell happened to regular ol’ box mods and tanks? It seems the offerings from local vendors are becoming slim pickins. Are the boro’s worth taking a look at (kind of expensive) or should I just fall back on what I’m familiar with?

I didn’t even know a thing called a boro box existed until I read your post!! Lol I’m gonna have to look that up.

I’ve also noticed local shops filling up with disposables and pod systems for a while too. It’s a shame. They have to follow the trend to stay in business though so I can’t blame them. I do think that box mods may make more of a comeback some day. I don’t keep up to date with latest vape tech either, as far as I know regular box mods have pretty much stayed the same other than some getting touch screens. I personally like to stick with what I know, which is why I decided to go with the aegis 3 (sending it back) I’m going to get another aegis 2 to to stand along side my aegis 2.

Update: ok call me a hater, but these boro box mods just seem totally gimmicky. I don’t see where the advantage is over the good old box mods, where there is more freedom of customization.

I much prefer the lost vape

I’m always intrigued with new tech, especially nicotine delivery systems. Sadly the techy-ist mod I own is an old DNA powered Hyperion. Must have dropped it at least a dozen times and it’s still rockin. But I think it’s time to scratch that itch and boldly go where mostly everyone else had already gone. :sunglasses:

Is that Thelema a DNA chipset?

No it’s their own chip called quest. and its much more affordable
I don’t think there is much notable new tech on the vaping scene
just some better hardware
DNA hasn’t really changed in years. I still have my 250c DNA Triade.
but i use the thelema
