June 2026 Mix-Along “Operation: Batter Base”

No DAAP at all in this one. I’ll have to give it a go! It sounds great @TakeMeToTheSea
Looks like I spoke too soon

To tell you the truth…I never even knew! Glad it might work for you.

Yes, I do still try to avoid them as well. But I’m not into buttery flavors much anyway.

The only flavor that has put up a red flag for me is Root Beer Float (TPA) because it has this warning:

Contains Furfuryl alcohol which may cause cancer. See http://bit.ly/2itXnZO
Source: The Perfumer’s Apprentice
But even then it doesn’t make me afraid to use it. I personally don’t like the taste anyway.

Another important thing to note is that these vape studies concerning the lungs are typically done on animals. It can be mice, rabbits, dogs… It’s cruel and untrustworthy.

How it works: Animals are placed in whole-body or “nose-only” exposure chambers where they are forced to inhale freshly generated e-cigarette aerosols for set periods of time.

The purpose: Researchers measure changes in lung capacity, immune cell recruitment, inflammation, and genetic alterations (like transcriptome changes) to understand the long-term impacts of chronic aerosol exposure.

The limitations: Many experts note that most animals breathe exclusively through their noses (unlike humans) and have different lung structures, which limits how perfectly the data translates to human smokers.

Well, I did NOT know that. I love animals, and often times more than some people, and we have a clan of rescues, so that hits home for me at a personal level.

Hey everyone, fairly new DIYer here, started at the beginning of the year and I always wonder why I didnt start sooner after spending tons of money on bottles and brands that were so nasty, expired, or just disappointing. I dont have much in my stash yet but have enough that Ive been making a couple juices I really enjoy. I saw this thread of pancakes and waffles and it brought back memories of a couple juices, at least for me that I used to enjoy, those being Pancake Man and French Dude. Im going to make an order for some more flavors to make up one or 2 of these entries. Can’t really decide which ones, as I want to try and make sure I’m not disappointed with the result as I have made some from recipes Ive found here and elsewhere and didn’t care for. These recipes look like they’ll all be good though, so, decisions decisions.

Hi @Ch0p and welcome. Something to consider just to get your feet wet. Maybe begin with some delicious one-shots. Jungle Flavors ( flavorjungle.com ) has quite a variety. @SessionDrummer has worked hard following quite a few different flavor companies in order to review flavors and also one-shots that have helped all of us. Here’s one long list of reviews from a couple years ago. Jungle Flavors / Flavor Jungle One Shot Tests by SessionDrummer to get you started. I’m sure he’ll be able to come in here and add some more recent lists and help, too.

Thank you, I will check them out. Maybe a silly question though from just briefly looking over the link you gave, are those one shots already made blends/e-juices?

They’re the flavors to mix in with your nic/pg/vg. When you click on one it will show the recommended % to use in your mix.

@Dj35 Back when Chefs was shutting down I grabbed a dozen 10ml bottles of CBW. I’m down to my last few bottles. I can’t find it anywhere now and tried looking at the usual UK sites. Where are you able to still find it? Thx!

@TakeMeToTheSea i don’t believe that one is available any longer. Even Sobucky doesn’t show it on their website. Most of the Molinberry flavors were discontinued or were absorbed into the SAA lineup.

You might know how impatient I am. I love a good Shake & Vape recipe. Check cookies

@McDuckie Hi there Mr. Mc :duck: Thank-you so much. I sort of figured it was banished altogether from “vapedom”. I was sorry to see that SSA didn’t choose to continue it either. A couple UK sites suggested the public try TFA in its place. I guess once I completely run out I’ll give it a try. I’ll just need one good solid one again…do you think TFA would be a good replacement as well?

When I clicked the link, the banner shows it’s marked ‘private’. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Yes, I’ve got 30 mils of cbw that I got from (nomz) that will last a while. Looks like I can’t restock once it’s gone.

Actually no, I don’t believe that there is a good MB Belgian waffle replacement. That’s why community mixes like this are so useful because when we as DIYers lose access to good flavors like MB Belgian Waffle then we have to adapt and create our own. Right now I really like Nomz Waffle @3% it doesn’t carry the maple note like many waffles, but it’s more versatile, as you can always add one of the many good maple syrups.

Here is my submission for the June Mix-a-long. A happy accident turns into this delicious waffle and syrup delight.
Steep at least 7 days for best results.
Notes within recipe.

:sparkles: Magic :sparkles:
How did you do that?

It was the pineapple that got used instead of pralines, so I was suprised by the outcome.
