Leafy - Tainted Carts investigation

I don’t. I exercise and eat very healthy and avoid processed foods and sugar. (diabetic) I haven’t had a soft drink for many years and will not drink tap water anywhere. I distill my own even though I have a well 430 feet deep. I live in a rural area and and able to buy organic foods and grow some of my own. I am one of “those” that chooses supplements over pharmaceuticals whenever possible.

But my wife runs a large restaurant so I’m likely exposed to everything that goes around.

Physiological well-being is a miraculous mystery that works great - until it doesn’t - humbling us all eventually. Most people are in their lives exposed to a number of very dangerous antigens that the body can circumvent for a while - but which can arise to take us down (bacterial, fungal, virus), if and when immune-suppressed. Lungs appear to need just a bit of Carotenoids to function well. To fried Red Bell Peppers I add some Beta-Carotene and Lutein (supplemented Beta-Carotene is ~16 times more bio-available than sourced from foods). Some studies (notably looking at current, rather than former smokers) have reported increased lung cancer risks from Carotenoids - but they nevertheless appear to be important (in small amounts) for lungs.

Oh my. Better alert the CDC. Another side effect from vaping.

Out of topic but distilled water is not good for you. Better than water with dangerous pathogens but minerals are important.
Depending on the distillation process used, you might even be concentrating some semi volatile contents that should probably not be there but might still be. Boil and filter if you want clean.

wait what? boiling? boils off all the good stuff and shit sits in the pot. I am a bit premature answer w/ no expertise but am sure someone will fill me in

Thanks for your concern. I use a steam distillation unit where the final stage is filtered. So the water is being boiled creating steam and all the crap left in the ‘pot’ like @worm1 said though the filtering might be necessary depending on what is in the water. As far as minerals, our minerals and nutrients come from foods with an insignificant amount in water. Distilling will remove them and everything else. So will other purification methods such as reverse osmosis. I eat healthy foods and also take supplements which include minerals and if I like can put minerals in the distilled water.

I have discussed this with doctors and tests show that I am neither vitamin or mineral deficient. I have drank distilled water exclusively for decades while my health has been monitored by a board certified internal medicine specialist and being diabetic have also consulted nutritionists. I don’t have any of the conditions that plague most diabetics and I am 67 years old.

The reason I didn’t respond is that I don’t want to debate this and I shouldn’t have mentioned it in the first place. As I said thank you for your concern and I am certain your comments were well intentioned.

not a debate but rather spreading the knowledge. I heard that boiling just boils off the pure water and leaves the crud so unless ya have a proper distilling setup its null for that application. All in all u are healthy, feeling good and thats all that matters.

I’m relatively certain that the kidney stones that put me in the hospital with kidney failure last summer were caused by vaping. Although working in heat in excess of 100 degrees for months might have been a contributing factor, vaping should be banned.

Sorry for your illness… But at least you can see the light.

I just wish they’d turn the damn flashlight out of my eyes.

I posted this on ECF, the small forum I belong to (Vaping Blips) and included it in my letters to the governor of MA and our AG, both who pushed for the 4 month, all encompassing ban in MA.

I hope you’re right. This might be a reply for the Vape Ban thread but here in MA we have several shop owners represented by Attorney Craig Rourke who is filing injunctions.

I’m afraid I have to agree with you. The old adage, “Follow the money” will take you to the fact that Juul’s CEO has stepped down to be replaced by Altria’s chief growth officer.

Well, if you were repressing any whiny snotty it all came out in one gallon it appears. Hope you’re feeling better, Smoky :hugs: Hugs from afar…VERY far, lol.

I am so sorry to hear this. The last time I was at the pharmacy they asked if I wanted a flu shot. I usually run away but now I’m having reservations. Guess I’ll be google fuing this season’s flu vaccinations. I don’t trust anything,

You know there reasoning is crap when they are allowing businesses to ship out of state . Whats that about ? If there is a health concern why would anyone allow anything to be sold… They know its crap and a judge should know as well

I’m with you @muth. I now trust the government and affiliates for nothing. I consider parties, syndicates. I consider the government itself a clear and present danger. I consider media state propaganda. I would have had an Aunt if a government vaccination hadn’t killed her.
