Let’s see those beautiful sunsets!

Thanks. It was taken at Mt St Helens at one of the pull outs. It’s about a 2-3 hour drive from my house but worth the drive to get out of town.

It’s kind of the great part of the area I live. With 2-3 hours there are ocean beaches (the cold though), great hiking for waterfalls 1-2 hours, and then in the opposite direction high desert country.

I also like going places to take photos that aren’t as popular for the hidden beauty but the timing has to be right…which is partly luck.

Sure that’s not the sun trying to peak through the air coming out of Gary? Just kidding.

Still playing with photos from the Oregon coast mountain range. Taken with my Sony camera after waking up at 4am for a poop and hike up the side of the mountain.

Ya dog is telling you to hurry up as it’ll be past dinner time by the time you both get down 1800 feet

I know that shooting a full moon with a smart phone is at best a pointless endeavor, but I wanted to experiment with it anyway :man_shrugging:

And just to stay on topic, I did turn around…

Here is a fun little sunrise photo from Sunday. I can’t always guarantee these this time of the year due to cloud cover here in Washington. But the best part of sunrises at this time of the year is the second the sun pops out on a freezing day you can feel the power of the sun rays hit your body with the warm glow. It almost feels like a warm breeze.

Shot with my Sony camera.

Took this one last night from the front porch. Sunset visibility is one of the reasons we bought this property.
