The FA Nougat aka Torrone is a decent nougat flavor though I detected some citrus notes as well as a slight nutty sweetness. The WF nougat is more nutty similar to a european type of nougat. The Inw Nougat to me is gooey and less nutty but still creates a great creamy and full mouthfeel.
Nope, our local Shopko had them all the time, in Kenosha. They had a little sample stand that had Brachs and Tootsie Roll stuff for 2 cents each. And our local WallyWorld has them but only Vanilla.
@STR8V8PING ill grab some Nilla ones next time i head into town and see if it can help jog my flavor memory.
Thanks. Another flavor to add for next time lol.
I wish i could still eat them
You got the diabetes too? Or bad teeth? I am now below the pre-diabetes threshold so i can have a couple but ive got bad teeth so i wont be able to chew them but ill still enjoy a couple for the sake of flavor finding.
Iām not supposed to eat candy (type 2 diabetic ) but I still indulge every now and then. Iāll buy a small bag of Brachās Jelly Nougats (only 5 pieces). And see how long it will last.
Ive been drooling since you posted that pic, i loved those things and i was the only one in the family who did so when i got them i never had to share.
Ever try Ceylon Cinnamon to help lower and prevent blood sugar spikes? It worked well for me and i think i still have an unopened bottle of capsules.
No diabetes but iv had bad gasto intestinal issues for the last 9 months which they still havent been able to diagnose so i cant eat like anything anymore. Its been a everyday struggle
Iāve never tried Ceylon Cinnamon capsules but Iāve used raw Ceylon cinnamon while making homemade Biscoff cookies. They are freaking evil little cookies. https://youtu.be/zue9G1PGBYw?si=xqbgVBEBSHY5veh8
Did you try Marshmallow (Vanilla) (OoO)?
@STR8V8PING My favorite vanilla candy is called White Rabbit, a Chinese candy. Iirc, @Rocky02852 made a recipe for them. Maybe heāll pop in and comment. I canāt imagine the vanilla Tootsie Rolls being any better but now Iāll have to try them.
I saw a diy recipe for these, too:
That sucks to hear. .Im sure you have already tried this but i was having bad stomach problems. i did all the test GERD test , The Camera down my throat , a coulke other thngs, blood work to cancel out any cancer ,etc etc. Nobody could tell me anything, of a couple doctors said Anxiety??? FUCKING ANXIETY , the answer they live to give , No doc its not Anxiety , its half the day that I feel this way. Anyway, I talked to a friend and they suggested i go Gluten Free, Yep Gluten Free. So i did and i have done a 360 when it comes to stomach problems. It is tough at first , especially of you like Cinna Bons and donuts and cookies lolā¦Its gets easy though and the GF bread itself is amazing .
Yup iv had so many tests and they cant find anything somehow. Iv done multiple mris cat scans , endoscopy , colonoscopy, gerd tests hpylori etc. They literally told me the same thing as you maybe axiety and constipation. Im like dr i never had anxiety and iv had constipation before and this is not that. I was fine stomach wise my whole life until one day 9 months ago it all started inatantly. I have tried gluten free but didnt seem to help. All iv been eating lately is like grilled chicken and avacados.iv also lost 100lbs in the last 9 months and i been eating ao theres clearly a issue.
I pray you find the problem ā¦Gut heath issues are a bitch
I emailed flavorah and asked them to make a vanilla turkish taffy. They said they will look into making it. Hopefully they do
Those folks are freaking awesome over there at Flavorah!! If they made something like youāre talking aboutā¦ Holy shit watch out!!
Wow, fiddy, thatās huge! Iām glad it wasnāt anything scary and Iām happy youāre doing a lot better now. My friend has GERD and itās awful. She couldnāt swallow for months and was constantly spitting saliva in a cup. She lost so much weight very fast.
I hope you find a solution soon. Digestive issues are not fun, my heart goes out to you.
Thanks. It really does. What iv come to find is that science is way behind on the digestive system . Like 90 percent of digestive issues have unknown causes and are undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. A massive percentage of people are diagnosed with ibs or ibd but those are not even real diseases. Its basically when a dr dont know its ibs/ibd
Exactly, they just call it by what itās doing to you, irritating your gut. Sometimes I wonder if generations of eating the crap food we have has caused our DNA to change? Idk, just speculating.
I was listening to a talk on the radio about it and theyāre saying that we get the gene from Neanderthals, no before the Neanderthals. Idk, I never heard of this before.
